Yes, indoor. Lacrosse on a Football field looks odd to me.

Haha, it's not supposed to be played on a football field... it just always is, as they're similar sizes, and Lacrosse isn't popular enough to warrant its own stadiums. I don't really understand why they use football fields, though. Soccer fields would be more appropriate: less markings on the pitch, and the smaller stadiums would better suit the lower audience turnouts (MLL games attract around 5,000 ... which isn't bad, but they easily get lost in the football stadiums where they can hold tens of thousands of people).
Indoor lacrosse does seem to be more popular on the whole, though - higher scoring, and greater aggression attracts the fans more than the slower field games (though MLL has had some modifications to fix this - 2 point line, shot clock).

Well, outdoor does get pretty aggressive (from what little I've seen), but it probably doesn't "sound" as aggressive (larger venue dissipates the sound, as well as the indoor has boards and glass which makes hits sound heavier).
To be honest, I've never really seen an entire outdoor game...just snippets and highlight packages (much like the one you've included in the OP). Is it really that much slower than indoor?

Field lacrosse, traditionally, doesn't have a shot clock. Box lacrosse has a 30 second one (basically, the offensive must attempt a shot within 30 seconds, or they have to hand over to the defensive). MLL have introduced a shot clock to field lacrosse, but it's 60 seconds, rather than 30.
Box lacrosse has fewer players per team (6 vs 10) - this obviously means that there's a lot more running, passing, etc.
You also have the fact that there is more allowance in box for violence, and offensive players can get nearer to the goal, field lacrosse has an offside rule, whereas box doesn't.
All of those add up. But, that's not to say that field lacrosse is slow. Lacrosse, in general, is still one of the fastest sports out there.
