Forums - Microsoft - Big Park (Joyride) Working on Story Driven IP

http://www.insidekinect.com/2011/05/big-park-working-on-story-driven-new-ip.html

The portfolio for a freelance video game writer who has worked on Bully, Socom and the upcoming SSX has unveiled that he helped work on a brand new title for Microsoft studio Big Park.

The studio last worked on Kinect Joy Ride, but their next project is to feature new characters (no avatars in sight?) and a storyline, so we can expect that it isn't a carting game.

We revealed earlier that Microsoft may be revealing at least 10 new franchises for Kinect at next months E3 aimed at the more traditional gamer rather than your dancing granny or sporty brother. This is likely one of them.

Around the Network

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're capable.

Joyride would have likely turned out crap whichever Kinect launch dev made it, it's a limited concept for Kinect.

Can't wait to see more!

I am going to stay optimistic. Whether Kinect is available in a game is all fine. I just hope that most of them allow Kinect play as optional instead of a requirement for playing the game. I want to see Kinect be utilized for adding immersion and unique ideas but also want to have more games that allows us the choice.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
