Forums - Sony - US PSN back up... and Sony screws up again.

I hope this community raises again to an enjoyable level when 2.0 is launched (or was it 3.0?).

At the moment it looks as if gamrConnect is slowly but steadily turning into a Sony-only forum.

Once the Wii2 comes out im sure the nintendo forum will be lively again. 360 forums were doomed from the start

Not unless they updated the rules last I checked.  If you don't actually have an arguement to make and can only resort to attacking other forum members... what else would you call that?

I wouldn't call it a reasonable or rational opinion.  Afterall it is the definition of a logical fallacy.

I wouldn't exactly call what I posted "attacking" another member.  Otherwise, I would have been banned a long time ago, as would many.

Also, why would I bother coming up with an argument against your point now, when I have before, as have others?  The simple fact is, you seem to side with the hackers.  You see it as they did little, while the brunt of the blame goes to Sony.  I on the other hand, believe the exact opposite.  There's really no changing either of our minds.  However, I will still state my opinion regardless if others agree.

Your point?  Everyone is pissed at both... the difference is... the hackers aren't a known property.  Nobody even knows who to be pissed at hacker wise or why.

I've never once seen you actually make an arguement.  Nor do i think the brunt of the blame goes on Sony.  I'd say a huge ass part of it goes on Sony... something like 40% or so.  Still you put more blame with the people who actually committed the act.

When you leave your doors wide open an announce a challenge to all the thieves in the world... you deserve to be yelled at for losing other peoples shit... and any amount of trying to defend them is just complety unconsionable.

@kasz

so whats the bottomline? most of the posts you've made in the last few weeks have been directed towrds this psn situation ( which is an awful amount of attention for someone who doesn't own a ps3 ).... and no one has denied that sony were negligent and at fault to some degree... so whats the point?

Uh.  I do own a PS3.  A launch PS3 in fact... 20 gig.

Which I mentioned directly in this thread, in response to a post of yours.  I'm planning to download Infamous and Dead Nation myself.  I own a PSP too.  If I can get both "deals" I'll grab Modnation racers something too.  (Own a PS1 and 2 PS2's as well for what it's worth.  The only two companies I own "all" videogame consoles for is Sony and Bally.{astrocade!})

Bottom line is... if I see someone yelling at rightfully pissed off people for being pissed off, I defend them.  Doesn't matter what system or company it is.

Also, yeah there were quite a few people who did deny sony was negligent.  Though they've mostly ended up banned.

@kasz  ugh??? we know why we should be pissed off at hackers, they messed up the system, just because i dont know who they are i shouldn't be pissed???

No, it means you shouldn't be mad there aren't a bunch of threads complainging about the hackers... since there is nothing to talk about yet.  Since we don't know any of the details.

I mean... "Damn those hackers... they hacked sony because.... ???"

If you want to start a thread complaining about the hackers, go ahead.  I doubt anyone will disagree unlike say... this thread.

However, there isn't enough info to properly facilitate anger yet.

Think back to the above situation.  Your going to tell out your friend a lot... but not really tell out or complain about the theif, cause you have no clue who he is... and thieves are expected to thief.  Friends aren't expecting to be careless with your stuff.

Only if it repeats the unexpected success of the Wii.

The 3DS has been a non-runaway hit and already the Nintendo forum is pretty much dead silent on the issue. Some of the formerly Nintendo faithful have gone so far as to nitpick the platform, undoubtedly influenced by the fact that it hasn't been "printing money" as they like to say.

If they were being flipped for $500 on Ebay and people were stalking shipment trucks to snap up tight inventory on a consistently out of stock item, you can bet they'd be singing a different song.

If the Cafe meets with a similar reception, expect throngs of the Nintendo faithful to turn on that platform as well, become like bitter former Sega fans after the demise of the Dreamcast and deliberately continue to game exclusively on their Wii and DS.

Not the best case scenario by any means as Nintendo is important to the console industry and gaming industry overall, but at least that would save us all the insufferable smugness of the 7th Gen Nintendo fan.

It took me 10 secs to update my password. I dont know why it must be hard for some people...
