E3 is comming, and the hype machine is at full power. But after years of conferences, announcements, interviews, graphics, music, flashy lights and scantly dressed girls you can see signs that point to disappointment:
A) The demo is too good to be true

Oh yes, tech demos. How many of them end as games? Very few actually; but one thing is true if there's a demo showing a peripheral, system or even a game that looks too good, it almost sure that'll be a disappoinment in the future, as a example check this "1 second delay" demo showing how kinect works with Star Wars ........ 1 year later and nothing even close has been done. Another examples include the infamous Duke Nukem Forever 2001 trailer, the 2005 Final Fantasy XIV demo and the king of all Milo
B) The person on stage has absolutly no idea of what he/she is talking about

E3 is a fun time, when a lot of executives came from their golden chairs to talk with the press about new and exciting products, the problem is that most of them don't know exactly how to excite the audience, as a consecuence we ended up with bland and boring speeches that ended up being hilarius in the internet, the ex-nintendo executive Cammie Dunaway is a good example of that and yes the infamous 2008 Nintendo conference is among the worst in the history.
C) The person on the stage need to repeat the same sentence ... twice.

Quite similar to the last one, the diference is that some executives/ developers / etc. except a huge reaction from the crowd after some announcement, but instead they just got some crickets chirping. So the natural reaction is to repeat the same announcement twice, this never ends good and just provide some funny moments like the 1 million troops speech that ended up being a mediocre game and the classic Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer that ended up being ... Ridge Racer.
D) You bring cheerleaders, luchadores, children or any outsider to the stage.

Ok, let's clear this. If any company want to put some extra show at E3, that's ok it's a nice extra for all the press; but please in the name of Alfred E. Neuman don't bring the show to the conference, that never works and it's the perfect recipe for a disaster, like the Disney Cheerleaders, with those High School Musical games the Konami Luchadores or these guys.
E) Your system is too damn expensive

Well this's quite obvious, pricing a system too high is never a good idea, maybe that's te reason of why companies haven't talk about prices in the conferences, truth is that nothing kills the mass appeal of a system that a big price, right Kaz? Anyway Sony correct the way later, but those first 2 years were tought.
