This whole time I was under the impression that I couldn't watch netflix on the PS3 due to PSN being down....buuuut I just loaded it up and its working!

Lol!  I thought everyone knew that.  Not only does it work, it works better than the 360 version!!  I've been using it almost daily.

Check out:  Easy A, The Other Guys, Human Centipede, Ponyo, and Prince of Persia.  Good times, man.  Good times.

Ya...among other stuff I watched since the PSN is down...I watched Season 1 of Life on Mars (US version). Pretty good. I re-watched The Other Guys...really good. 

Oh ya...and VUDU works, too.

Recommending the Human Centipede to people?  I thought you were cool, man.  =(

Lol I just kind of figured that since PSN was down that Netflix and all that wouldn't work either! 

It was only when a 6 year old insisted that it would still work that I tried to use it (boy did it feel bad that I lost an argument to a 6 year old )

in the uk you can still watch bbc iplayer, channel 4 OD and itv player.  the web browser still works the love film icon is still there although, i dont want to download it so I do not know if it works. mubi and vidzone icons have disappeared though.

is linux only for usa? Is It just a download form the internet browser or is it something that cost? I no this is a noob wuestion but i no nothing about linux.

It doesn't work for everyone though. It eventually stops working and a grey error message appears that says there was a problem with connecting with PSN. A couple of people at GameSpot (myself included) experienced this. Mine stopped working about a week after the PSN shutdown. I haven't really used my PS3  since then, but at least I have the opportunity to clean up my PSP backlog.
