Forums - Gaming - Assassin's Creed Revelations announced!!!

Today Ubisoft revealed the first details about the fourth game to appear under the Assassin's Creed header. While the new name was ousted last week, today we learn the first details about where the game will take us.

In Assassin's Creed Revelations, Ezio Auditore will travel to Constantinople, in the footsteps of Altair, in order to further unravel the mystery between the Templars and the Assassins.

Revelations also brings back the multiplayer experience first introduced in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood with "more modes, more maps and more characters" according to the official announcement. In addition, players will be able to "manipulate the construct of Desmond's memories and the Animus to decipher the mysteries of his past and gain insight into the future."

In addition, Revelations has been described as the "final chapter of the Ezio trilogy" and is scheduled for release this November. We'll learn more about the game at E3 next month.

The first image to emerge from the new game also features a new tool simply called the "hook blade" which you can see hanging from Ezio's sleeve. Check it out below:

Apparently, we will be able to play Altair and Desmond as well.

This franchise needs to take the next step , I hope this isn't another recycled ACII with few more tools and multiplayer modes , if so this would be the first AC that I'm not going to get , I don't want to jump the gun , we'll see .

Ubisoft ... You're just so dear to me .

I love Ezio, but seriously I would like to play as another of Desmond's ancestors now...I feel like we've seen enough of Ezio for the time being

"I don't know what this Yamcha is, but it sounds just like Raditz."

I agree, but at least it's a different setting. Constantinopel should be interesting but I believe they need to innovate the series in order to keep it alive. I guess we'll have to wait til E3 to see what Ubisoft has in store for us...

ubi is really milking this franchise. they need to be careful.

They can come out with as many games as they want as long as the quality is good.

I cannot believe that another AC is coming out....its shameful that the amount of instalments beats the amount of years this franchise has been living in such a short time period... I think its on its way to beating ratchet & Clank if it hasnt already..

Great, another AC2 rehash.

I'm officially done with this franchise until AC3 is announced.

Awww, I want some answers for change instead of another mindfuck that ends in a cliffhanger -_-

Didn't they mention a coming apokalypse in one of the games (Ac2)?

So that could point to a 2012 release of AC3 and the conclusion

(until it gets rebooted for the next generation)
