Core Games VP Danny Bilson of THQ talks up the 'polish' of Metro 2034 over its predecessor, saying its shooting mechanics 'needed to be better'.

Well now they are in Metro 2034 claims Bilson, and it's going to get a "more respectful push" in marketing from THQ. It was green-lit "before the other one shipped".

"The sequel's even more advanced in terms of the technology," said THQ's Danny Bilson. "The sequel's going to get a lot more support than the first one got both from product development at THQ and marketing."

There were certain things in Metro 2033, "even though it looked sensational, some of the shooting mechanics need to be better polished to compete with the Call of Dutys. They are this time. For marketing it'll get a much more respectful push."

"I'm a big supporter of that team in Kiev," continued Bilson. "It's an original Russian franchise. We don't want to mess with it and Americanize it."

"It's got its own point of view. Even though our guys in Agoura did a lot of the work on the fiction, this time it's still that vision. You're going to see a more polished game, you're going to see some crazy technology. We green-lit it before the other one shipped and you're going to see some of it at E3." This year's E3 takes place June 7-9.

Metro 2034 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC at an unannounced date. Are you excited to return underground in the Russian metro system, packed full of nasty demons?

I have been interested in this game since seeing a few gameplay videos but cant find it anywhere other than Amazon but its still $40 there for the 360 version.  Steam does have the have it for $20 and I do have a PC that will run it like a champ so maybe I will get it there

You can get the PC version for as low as $5.31 on Amazon.

Plus $6 for shipping,  I get free shipping from Amazon if its from or fulfilled by Amazon.  As Im a prime member.  Plus isnt that version GFWL?  I would rather pay the extra money for the Steam version,  or just wait until they have another deal like they did a couple weeks ago for it for $10

no, no. Yeah, I hate how they have the boxarts like that too. But on GFWL games they actually have Live under the "Games for Windows" line:

Like that^

That just means that it's only for Windows. It still runs on Steam only
