Forums - Microsoft - New 360 Slim for $110 at Best Buy!

I am considering getting it for Fable and Alan Wake.

Should I buy it?

Best Buy currently has the 4GB Slim for sale for $129.99.

This week they have an online promotion that gives 1600 Best Buy Points (valued at $20) for purchases over $100.

yes that a terrffic deal and one hell of a price for it

man I really hope i would get those deals here in my country xD i had to pay nearly 5 times that price for my xbox lol

I read in a previous article that you can't play online co-op modes in certain games (ie. Halo: Reach) with just the 4 GB internal flash drive or those usb flash drives. Apparently you need an actual Xbox 360 hard drive for those modes. If online co-op matters to you, thats something to look into. The 250 GB standalone hard drive for the 360 costs an arm and a leg. You'd also have to get the wired headset seperately (about $20) if you plan to play online since I don't believe it comes with the 4 GB model. With a $70 off deal free $20 gift card, you'd probably still end up getting a deal out of this though even if you are forced to get the hard drive and headset.

Thats a sweet price if they were region free id pick one up to replace my old clunker, looking forward to sumer price cuts on PS3 and 360. Mine both sound like Jet engine simulators, even tho theyve been sent for refurb multiple times.

You are buggin' right there. I recently bought 3 official headsets for my kids off Ebay @ $4 a pop.

OT, hell yeah you should get it because that's a great price. Even if you gotta pay the top dollar price for an HDD, you'll still be ahead. I did see the HDD on Amazon just now though for under $100. With VERY little effort you'd have a new slim 250GB for right around $200 according to your and my math.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

That is one HELL of a deal!

EDIT: I looked on the Best Buy website but I couldn't find that deal.

I'm interested in this deal too, I'm not interested in downloading content nor am I interested in XBL; my question is will I be able to play all of the retail games with the 4Gb model?

I guess I can't download them to the HDD though.

(i just used interested 3 times in one sentence)

What with PSN being down and SOME bad press for Sony, Wii being down quite a bit in March, all of these deals (they actually seem to keep coming by the day) April and May NPD should be more in favour for 360 than it otherwise would have been. Oh, possibly that supposed ban wave might help.

I do wonder if retailers/microsoft are testing the waters for what price cuts to take ...

I've seen a lot of really good deals for the 360s 4Gb model and the 360s 250Gb Kinect bundle, over the last week.
