And how does them working on a Kinect game mean that it can't be a core title? Sure pretty much everything released so far has been casual but MS is fully aware it was the core gamer that got them where they are today. Not to mention alot of Kinect stuff like Dance Central is fun as hell so I don't mind them developing Kinect stuff at all.

no one answered this so far so I'll ask you too, did they show any gameplay or something for steel batallion kinect or that dragon game?

Sorry my quote isn't working on the browser for some reason

Anyways no official gameplay footage of either Steel Battalion or Project Draco yet, though I'm VERY excited for both since they are fully focused on the Core gamer and I can't wait to see how Kinect will be used to highten the experience.

What we DO have though is some screenshots of Project Draco in-game footage that was shown last year. Looks pretty promising so far.

thanks for the reply. and yea I saw those screenshots a while back. The reason I asked is those two games seems to be the very first steps in creating a 'core' game experience on the kinect. Depending how it plays we can see how well it can be done on the device. You think we will see it at E3? or TGS?

The fact that I haven't even seen a tech demo of something that could become a full feldge core title on kinect makes me extremely skepticle but it isn't entirely impossible I suppose but I wouldn't bet on it or take MS at their word they also said AAA and we all know how many companies have said that about games that turn out to suck

I'll tell you how they will use it, Project Draco is a rail shooter it will be like child of eden with a different skin and layout and Steel Battalion (a RTS) will have the kinect controls in place of the analogue slect and cancel and be alot less accurate

I'm pretty confident we'll see both Steel Battalion and Project Draco at E3, as well as some other Kinect stuff. Basically the way I expect their conference to go is.

1. Kick things off with a COD Modern Warfare 3 reveal, or whatever COD title is coming this year.

2. Focus on showing some core non-Kinect 360 games. Gears of War 3 campaign stuff for sure, also possibly announce Alan Wake 2, Halo CE remake or Halo 4, and Codename Kingdoms footage. Maybe 1 other exclusive 3rd party game.

3. Focus on an extensive Kinect showing after the stuff listed in 2. This will probably include both Core and Casual titles, so people who are into core only titles will probably be bored by this part of the conference.

4. End with some kind of megaton, MS always does. Last year was the 360 slim, and the year before was the FFXIII multi-plat announce. Either they'll take a big PS3 exclusive or end with the Halo 4 announcement.

wait, did they buy a studio, or just formed one.

it sounds like they just formed one, well where did they get the employees from, are they talented, what experience do they have?

they said they will be working on "core" games, but by the look of thing (posts in this thread) it looks like its going to be a Kinect game.

also this gen is nearly over, so unless they will only have 1 year dev time (which would make sense for most kinect games, but also unfortunately probably means low budget casual kinect game) or they will release it the last year of this gen, and get no sales, or next gen, which doesnt help this gen.

i want microsoft to win me over, with games, which means they need studios, and Kinect wont do it for me. my allegiance is to games, and if Microsoft will provide them, this gen or next, i will gladly come over

I agree with your line up of events, especially the COD start with some timed exclusive maps or something. But I disagree about the ending, I think new Halo would be the perfect way to end things. we will see tho, E3 is almost upon us! :D exciting times for all

Buy, the team was already there and apparently have made a game for FB or something before. But they are hiring and expanding the team
