Yeah, if I thought I would ever plop down $500+x2 for SLi setup, the 780i would be my choice, but I should be just fine with 1 9800gtx. Are you seriously planning on running more than 1 9800 when they come out?

nope im doing what I said above on what you should do. As I start seeing slow down buy another card.. or else ya im going to get dual 9800.. havent decided. matters of the price of the rest of the system as my main HDD will be a solid state drive =D which are beautifuly fast for gaming PCs main drive.

Yeah, how is are the prices coming along for the solid state drives? What is the price per size? When do you think you will be getting that?

w/e the QX9770 and 9800GTX come out is when im building. As for price for SSD drives... they are painful to look at. 32GB for $699 form the one im geting but its better then the super talent crap. 100% faster and lasts 4 times longer. That all = awesome. Pus no heat = bonus for overclocking.

Jesus, that is a lot, but I can't even imagine how fast they must be, just nuts. Hopefully they go down by the time you get around to building your comp.

there are reports of people who installed on a laptop windows vista after upgrading the HDD to one. Apparently 25 minutes to install and 20 second boot up. Thats fast as heck for a laptop.

Also another bright side is that they use less electricity so your power supply will use even less electricity. The change also tripled the laptop's battery life.

Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm going to be ordering this weekend, and I am currently leaning towards the 8800gt, kinda crossing my fingers the new geforce will be released through EVGA within the next three months. The thought of a cheap crossfire sounds interesting to me though, and I could still upgrade if the new geforce comes out 4-5 months down the line...
