how do i factor a problem like:

2(x^3)-5

i know how to factor something like    (x^2) plus x - 2.

the answer would be (x plus 2)(x - 1)

so can you guys help.

i cant remember the formula for when its to the 3rd power

Hmm you can neither do difference of perfect cubes nor can you do grouping. There aren't any common factors either.

It has a triple root at x = Cuberoot (5/2) and no others.

That's it. I know that's not factored, but it is already factored into its simplest form already.
