no idea about large scale, but there are people with 100% banned consoles playing right now on banned accounts. Microsoft knows of it, and every update blocks the new exploits, but even they know they can't stop everyone, and obviously they don't really care.

That's completely different. It's like comparing shoplifting to bank robbery.

That's also not my mine point. Fact is, SONY's paying alot here to protect a service that they're not even charging for.
