muslim law in the middle east started becoming what it is mainly after the fall of the sha, before that it was more secular then religious in most countries.

There's no "feeling" that what Sony did was illegal. It was illegal.

I also said that Sony has a lot of money and lobbying power, which means that taking them to court is likely to result in failure.

I can't afford to take Sony to court (nor would I have a case, since I bought a slim PS3), but I can buy an Xbox and stop buying Sony's products. So can everyone else. Sony seems to forget this

 

1st paragraph:  You keep saying Sony did illegal things, but 1) What proof is this statement grounded in?; and 2) everything Sony did was through the judge's permission. Kudisto am I missing something?? Or are you talking crazy?

2nd paragraph:  If someone's guilty they're guilty. No amount of money or lawyers will change that. The judge had both sides' evidence and pleas brought in front of him, and he sided with Sony bc he found Geohot's actions wrong/illegal.

3rd paragraph: Go ahead and stop buying Sony's products. The vast majority of the rest of us will NOT stop buying their products, despite what you may think. It will be your loss and yours alone, missing out on all Sony's system has to offer.

After writing all this, I still just have no idea what you have against Sony. I'm fully expecting you to respond going on about consumer's rights, and I've heard it before; so don't just say "arrghh consumer's rights". Explain yourself, bc no one else ever does.
