but to be honest, i think Tri-aces games are more entertaing than SE's. They just need better voice actors and better writting because they have the potential to be one of the top RPG makers

Cool. Your. Jets. No, I can still say that it doesn't pertain to anything SO related aside from a few amusing cameos that are ultimately just that: amusing cameos. They said they were done with the series ages ago since they wrote themselves into a corner with 3. And that's cool by me (heck, it's even respectable in this day and age), because they can try new stuff like they did with RoF

No..thats actaully a misunderstanding.
the guy who wrote SO3 and SO4 said HE was done with the series(him and series creator gotanda had a falling out)...never ever did they say they were finished with the series that made them.
hell when tri-Ace 1st announced they were taking time off to advance the ASKA engine they outright said Star Ocean 5 was gonna be the 1st game they make with it.
plus its just not cameos its the whole atmosphere of tech demo its basically set in SOs universe.

First of al, mo, Yamagishi, the head producer of the series, said they had done everything they wanted to and they were done with the series. I was sad, it sucked that it had to go, but I was ultimately willing to respect their decision to retire the series and try new things. Secondly, they did NOT mention a new Star Ocean in that year-old interview about their improved engine, just that there was an unannounced game using it. Moving on now
