Someone please help. I can't get my ps3 to show up on my screen. I just switched to directv and it worked fine with dishnetwork. Everything is hooked up the way it should be to the back of the tv, the ps3 turns on, but nothing comes up on the screen. I'll be eternally grateful if someone can help me.

I don't think directv has anything to do with your PS3 not showing on your TV.. first you should try to hook it up to a different HDMI input, then you could try a different hdmi cable and lastely try it on a different TV (with HDMI).

It's probably a HDMI problem (maybe there was some kind of damage to it), so if you hook it up with the composite cable you should have a picture, but ofcourse that's not a good solution as you'd get pretty bad picture quality - another possibility why it doesn't work would be that you might not have switched the TV to the correct input source, but I don't think that's the case here.

Tell us how you have it hooked up, how many HDMI's you have, and all of that stuff.  We'll see what you did wrong.

Did you switch the TV to show what it receives from the HDMI input that the PS3 is hooked up to? - just to be on the safe side

I dont own a ps3, but maybe a video setting got switched in the change over and it is no longer set to display right on the tv?

Try without the HDMI, to isolate whether or not its the HDMI cord or PS3.
