Forums - Sony - Offical Psp go Dead By sony

Well seems like the PSP Go'll continue alive .... in NA

Following up with Sony of America for clarification after recent events, we wanted to know if the company was still manufacturing and shipping the handheld. Today we were told: "We are continuing production of PSP Go for North America."

How many units are produced in America?? I've 2 PSP and none of them are made in the states.

It was a failed miserable experiment. Thank Darwin. We are not ready to handle downloadable only tech.

Downloadable is huge and growing market. It's just this particular implementation that seems to have failed.

downloadable market is yes huge, but huge only in the >10 range.

I don't think people are ready yet to digitally download a game at $40 .  THese cheap ass $1 games have them scared that theyw ill pay $40 for a cheap ass short game

Downloadable games is big and growing FAST. It's only a matter of time before iOS and Android lead game sales. Hmm, they might already be ahead right now considering the lackluster DS/PSP sales.

wasn't saying it wasn't huge, was saying that its not big yet for high prices games.  people are weary buying a full priced $50 game download only.  you will only see pc gamers doing that.  Myself included.

Now all these small vc games, and what not that are less than $10 people are willing to pay for.

AND graphs are bullshit when its showing percentages.  that means nothing.  the psp and ds could have sold the same but with the iphone increasing the % get changed like so.

this was pretty much expected. The thing just wasn't properly supported from the get go. Alot of times you would have the umd version and no digital version. The digital version of a game was also way more expensive. I hope they get it right with the NGP.
