Forums - Gaming - Mass Effect 2 development has begun

http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/new-mass-effect-gamenovel-revealed/18948/?biz=1

"BioWare revealed today the first hint of the next Mass Effect game. On the company's website, they indicated that the upcoming Mass Effect novel will be set in between the first and second games of the franchise. While its been widely assumed that Mass Effect would be the first in a series of titles, this is one of the first official confirmations of a sequel.

"Del-Rey Books and author Drew Karpyshyn have announced the title of the second volume in the Mass Effect series of novels: Mass Effect: Ascension," said the post on BioWare.com. "Set between the first and second game, the novel will arrive in Summer 2008."

The first Mass Effect has already sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Eventual ports to other systems, such as PS3, also seem like a real possibility given the recent acquisition of Pandemic/BioWare by Electronic Arts, although Microsoft will no doubt try to keep the franchise exclusive to Xbox 360 if they can."

Well, I guess it hasn't actually begun yet, but it's good to know that they aren't biding their time with the series.

No doubt about the fact that this will be PS3/X360 and maybe PC... (EA :-@!!!)...

They might wanna put Mass Effect (1) on PS3 then as well... (Maybe as DC)

THE NETHERLANDS

I'm not into this franchise, but if it comes to the PS3. Let it be so....

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Personally, I think MS will pay through the nose to keep the series on X360.

I already played this game on the Xbox 360...Its not my cup of tea, so please stop coming to conclusions on saying I'm a troll...All I put in was my two cents about the franchise and said if it comes it comes. I'm just not into the franchise at all.

HEY ANOTHER THREAD IN WHICH SOMEONE CLAIMS ONE IS AN TROLL.
IT'S TOO COMMON THESE DAYS :)

Quality for Life

A sequel being in the works is hardly surprising. The game sold very well, and it's been hyped as a sequel for a while now.

This game is almost certain to make it to the PC, although the PS3 port depends on sales of both consoles, the greed of EA, and how much MS is willing to keep the game exclusive.
