Forums - Gaming - How often do you step out of your comfort zone as a gamer?

I used to only play RPG's, action games and fighters before this gen. This gen I started playing a lot of different games I would never play. Mostly first person shooters, which I never played before besides Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

I am a gamer. Not a fanboy, not a troll, a gamer. So when you dont like what I have to say, remember this fact.

until now, i never played RPG... but because of this site and some people i bought Valkyria Chronicles and Demon Soul. did like the VC demo, so that also helped... but they are in the shelf... dont know yet if i will like it... those are the two games i took a risk, others are well planed games that i know for sure that i will not be disappointed.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Everyone has their favorite genres and series in gaming but how often do you play a game that is completely out of the norm for you.

For me I do it quite often because I review for this webstie, I don't think I would have played Disney All Star Party, N- Strike Elite, or even Disgaea Infinite on my own but the new experience they each brought was welcome.

i have no comfort zone...just lack of time :x.

well actually, I don't like survival horror and scary FPS... I still play them.
