If nothing changes in terms of library, then of course PS4. I loved my PS, PS2 and PS3. If Nintendo goes all Rambo next gen and gets many third party exclusives, then Nintendo. I have a Microsoft console: My Pc! And no, never ever going to buy something from Apple^^.

Probably Sony, because they have given me the games I enjoy most. I only own a PS3 this gen (home consoles. I have a DS, PSP, PC), and I have to say it has satisfied my needs.

Some of the Wii's games interest me, though not enough and not as many as to justify a purchase. If Nintendo's next console ends up being appealing to me I may get that too down the line.

MS would have to change their offer a lot for me to be buy their next console, because nothing they have interests me at this point. I don't see what MS has that no-one else can offer, bar Kinect, Live and exclusives like Halo, Gears and Forza, none of which I'm interested in.

In any case I'm open minded and anything can change next generation.

If that person loves you he/she doesn't care. I know I wouldn't. I mean, do you have to own a Windows Mobile, too? Otherwise it's also a betrayal to MS. You need to have W7, Office... You have to use Internet Explorer!

Is that person upset at you? If not, just enjoy your console.

Get the Nintendo console at launch and then decide between the others midway through the generation based on library.

really depends. i only have an allegiance to bioware and bethesda. so where they go il go. il get sony's console that is if they dont fuck up, make online a playable service, and make the ps4 as expensive as the ps3, as well as no 1st party releases.

other then that depending on games and graphics controls price and being region locked or not, i might get nintendo's system. 

also if i live in the stats or in europe when next gen starts im most definatly getting 2 consoles.

I find the notion of giving my allegiance to a company completely absurd. I buy products I like, companies be damned. I'm a whore and because of it, I rarely get burned on a shit product.

I had a Wii. I sold it. I bought another Wii. I sold it. Now my girlfriend has one so I play it over at her place.

I had a PS3. Sold it to a friend. Just bought another one a month or so ago because I wanted to play some of the new exclusives. It was a great purchase and it gets used constantly, some nights for games, others for Netflix.

I had a 360. Sold it. I'll buy a Slim when Gears/Mass Effect release and after a price drop.

I've owned pretty much every major console of the past 20 years with the exception of the Saturn. I don't care what brand the box says, I care whether it will provide me quality entertainment for the price.

i voted for sony because, for now, is the console with the strongest 1st party (IMO and in my tastes) and if they keep on-line free i will be there... will not pay for on-line, that is the reason i didnt bought a xbox this gen and will be the reason i will not buy their next console if they keep the same bussiness model... also; sony better keep DS as their standard controler (DS4 is required) because i like move but not as my standard control method.

While I agree that both MS and Sony better keep a standard controller standard with their next console, please, for the love of God, end the DualShock line. The controller layout is antiquated and every time I pick up a 360 controller, it feels more so.

Sony really needs to design a controller based around modern triggers and stick placement. They are probably the most important parts of a modern controller and were both afterthoughts in the current design. It's time to build a controller around the modern gamer, Sony.

The Playstation 4 using the same Dualshock design would be enough to make me hold off buying the console for a year or two until there were enough exclusives to force a purchase. That's how much I dislike the design.
