So far I'm liking how the tekken characters are translatin but I'm still not interesting in the game. I'm a Tekken fan though so probably due to personal bias.

Personal preference. Both games are easy to play but hard to master. They are completely different in gameplay so not really easy to compare.
But I'm with others about this, seems like the characters are out of place but this is a game with Tekken characters developed in a SF style so should be. So anyone who is used to and plays Tekken more (like myself and many others), they will always prefer Tekken. It's going to be hard to mesh the 2 different game styles.
