how did it hurt them? As they said being exclusive helped them stay focus, if they went multiplat maybe it wouldnt have been as good. #justsayin

1. It is quite awesome, indeed. And not only the facial animation part, it's the whole methodology of how we're approaching characters that has changed.
2. We haven't been on holiday for 10 months 3. I've seen it already ![]() |
Alan Wake 2? Not sure I am ready for more dudes with axes and flying crows. Maybe they thow in a dude with a chainsaw this time...
Seriously though, they were making a psychological thriller action shooter sandboxish game...and pretty much establish narrative rules where they can throw almost anything at the gamer and have it fit the story...and all they can come up with is dudes with axes and bigger dude with an axe.
If it wasn't for those 2 DLC chapters which were properly trippy, I'd say the game was quite lackluster.
So sure Remedy, make more of em...milk it to death. If you're stuck with ideas, throw zombies in.

I smell an E3 announcement
Alan Wake 2 needs time, I really liked the first one, but it felt like a game that was developed in like two years and then was rushed out. Facial animations need to be fixed, lip syncing needs to be fixed, they have to make it not be repititive, the plot needs to stay coherent, give me more than two types of baddies to fight, stop rehashing environments like they did with the damn forest and give us more time in the town during the day. If they can at least fix the repititiveness, lip syncing and the forest, then I'd be happy with a sequel.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I thought my post was clear in indicating that I didn't like it...lol.
I supported it at first as I was playing it, thinking it'll grow on me but by the time it was all said and done I found it a very repetitive shallow experience.
I don't care though, they can make part 2 if they wish...I may even give it a shot if it looks fun.
