I don't think he's got a choice. Sony will drag them through court and bankrupt him if he keeps fighting.

it's not going to stop. They already know they can't win hence they offered the settlement. Just saving face to see it as a "win".

The off  chance that sony may find out. I guess nothing really. All they accomplished was this not going to court and them loosing. Its kind of a loss for both ends as far as I am concerned. The law was not tested so its still up in the air on if it is legal to hack your own console

You didn't read it wrong. Geo distributed the hack for the public but he wasn't the one who cracked the ps3 security system and stripped it naked. Failoverflow did.

lulz - anonymous couldn't take down any of sony's sites and faced a lot of lash-back for trying to disrupt with the consumer's ability to uses their products.  if anyone lost in this case it was anonymous for looking weak and like assholes.
