Forums - Microsoft - Good arguments in favor of the 360 over PS3?

I say pick up a used 4GB 360s after the price cuts. That's what I'll be doing when the 720/PS4 comes out. The brilliant thing about that is:

1) Used 360s will be dirt cheap when 720 launches

2) I get to extend the life of this gen by a considerable amount through enjoying all the 360 exclusive games I want to play. Which will also be cheap as.

3) Thanks to 2) it means I can wait for at least 2 rounds of price reductions in the next console gen before I think about buying a PS4.

Thanks for the replies.

@yo_john117: thanks if I indeed get one I'll look you up. :)

@kowenichi: Yes, Lost Odyssey was the RPG I heard about and had forgotten the name, and I really like JRPGS.

@toadslayer: I like JRPGs, action RPGs, fighting, beat'em up, strategy, some action games with RPG elements.

I'm a great fan of Virtua Fighter, I know the PS3 version does not have online, does anyone know if the 360 server still working?

IMHO Lost odyssey is THE best JRPG this gen... turn based and simply sensational from Sakaguchi

Well I almost agree,  I prefer Tales of Vesperia above Lost Odyssey.  And you can download the last one now on gamed on demand (if you did not get the JP PS3 version)..

Nice you hyperlinked my name :D

If its JRPG's and such you are looking for may I suggest:

Lost Odyssey (fantastic turn based epicness)

Blue Dragon

Mass Effect (assuming you haven't played it on the PC already)

Halo Wars (best console RTS game)

Culdacept Sage (never played it but you might like it)

Dead or Alive 4 (old but its a decent fighter)

Infinite Undiscovery

Kameo: Elements of Power

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Naruto: The Broken Bond (if you like fighter/platform game type things)

Ninety Nine Nights

Risen

Too Human

Now I haven't played most of these but I know the above games are at the very worst decent.

There will be price cuts this year, then you can get it for gears of war 3.

this

guity gear which was the last one they made and it 360 exclusive , 360 exclusive ace combat 6 fire of liberation ,exclusive Beautiful_Katamari ,blue dragon, lost odyssy , tales of vesperia , infinite undiscovery, last remant , bullet witch, deathsmiles, fable 2,3 , forza 2,3,4  , gears of war franchise, Magna carta 2, zoids assult , chrome hounds .... many more

I'll read about Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey.

Virtua Fighter 5 and Dead or Alive 4, although old, are sequels to games I enjoyed so it might be worth looking, must be low priced currently.

I'm not sure I can wait for a price drop; I usually don't wait for them because they might not happen and I feel like I wasted a lot of time I could be using playing.

Super Street Fighter IV I might get on the 360 (own PS3 version already) due to the terrible way costumes DLC is being handled on the PSN.

There's also Bayonetta and Red Dead Redemption I am interested in but the PS3 versions are not as good, so I hear.

For sure worth it, all these games are must plays

Forza series

Halo series

Fable series

Gears of War series

Alan Wake

Tons of downloadable games like Shadow Complex and Ilomilo

Trust me owning both the HD consoles is the way to go.  Though you'll be shocked at how much both sides overhype stuff once you play both systems.  They are both fantastic but nearly identical.

If you don't like shooters, then I really can't see any reasons to buy a 360. Normally the COD/Halo/Gears combo is what entices hardcore gamers to get on the 360 for a great MP experience on Xbox live.

If thats not your cup of cake, then I think its better you just stick with your ps3.
