In a few tweets between a fan and Brian Gomez, Design Director of Silent Hill: Downpour, Brian explains the fate of a PC port of Silent Hill: Downpour.
So basically, it’s a cost benefit decision that comes down to the publisher. PC Silent Hill is Konami’s call.
Brian also brings up how easy the process would be, but the port is up to publisher Konami. They would have to see if the title would be worth the porting process. From retail packages to code changes, Konami would need to pay the bills, so their decision does not come lightly. Silent Hill: Homecoming came to PC, and that release was filled with bugs and issues. Hopefully Downpour will reach PC fans and end the era of bad or non-existent PC Silent Hill titles.
