OK was looking into this XBL family pack thing.

Now I just got Two 12 month cards on an Amazon sale, and I'm not sure what I should do.

Should I add both cards to my account and get XBL Family for free so I can have up to four Gold accounts.

Or should I just use one card for me and another for my Son?

See the lady on the phone said each 12 month card counts as (one 6 month XBL family Card), so the two cards I have would give me one year for 4 people,  BUT I would have the parent account and the other three accounts would be child accounts and could not use features like Netflix and such????

So now I'm confused, what should I do? and is the lady correct?

Yes you would be the parent account but the other accounts can do whatever you let them do. 

So I can let all the accounts be adult accounts, like play M rated games and watch Netflix?

It would make sense for me to make this a family package correct? with three xboxs in the house and all.

Also, if I add both cards to my account (24 Months) I just have to activate the family package with no fee correct?

Yeah you can make all the family accounts be adult accounts. 

And to answer your second question all you do is enter both of those cards to your account and then upgrade to family plan and it should be free (it will tell you how much of a discount you get in the final screen)

Just be sure that when you are creating the accounts that you enter birthday info. as adult. Like if your son was born in 2000, don't put that, make it a date that would have him be an "adult". I made the mistake with one of my son's account of putting his actual age and yeah, certain things aren't on the dashboard when he signs on. Even though I have it set up so that he can play M rated games and all that, it still sees his birthday info and limits certain things. It's not a real big deal but if I could do it over again, I would have done it differently.
