Interesting, ABC's claiming of the Mafia's death is peculiar to say the least, but I dread to think how powerful mafia is if there are 1.5 vigilantes as some people claim, some powerful role Hat has, probably a doctor, a cop, a deceased roleblocker... Last game, hosted by Linkz saw Jack, Watcher, Tracker and a bodyguard on the same team, whereas mafia had a roleblocker and there was a SK floating around, if the town roles are any indication, mafia must be pretty powerful indeed.

Also Name =/= Alignment, it really doesn't make a difference. I can say from my personal experience, although it might provide some sort of hint as to the abilities the user gets.

Siths are called Sith Lords, just like Jedis are called Jedi Knights. The way I see it, Sith Lord is the equivalent of saying Mafia member so Starting Sith Lord would mean Starting Mafia member. This is where my surprise comes from: I'd expect Palpatine to be something like Master Sith Lord or Leader Sith Lord since he's running the show in the movies.

If something backfired on linkz that killed him wouldn't it most likely be someones role causing it to happen?

So if ABC is lying someone else would be responsible and would know. 

Probably. A bus driver would know he switched Linkz and his target. A paranoid gun owner would probably suspect he was the cause of the death.
