I agree. For me, it's standard practice to "de-bold" votes and suchlike that I'm quoting. |

He did and then editted the old one out, despite leaving the bolded vote in the new quote lolz

Made a new post and deleted the old one?? That's just weird.

Sigh, go me with the fail of quoting. I edited it out to avoid confusion though. The only things I did edit out was the respostal of the same thing and unbolding of the votals, it's too early in the morning to remember such things :/
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

You're still new so don't beat yourself up about it. It's not such a big deal if there are people around who can vouch for your post's integrity, but it's a headache nonetheless.
Just don't do it. :P

1.) Ok, I'm going to vote hatmoza, and then have 4 other people ask me what the hell I'm doing, vote for me, and I'm done. That is exactly what I see happening if I vote hatmoza, so please don't tell me that is how I should play. 2.) He stated he was town. Simply put. He may be lying, he may be telling the truth. I don't know, but he stated he was town, so all I was saying is that I've also more or less said I'm town, and the town would be just as good to vote him off as me, since I'm an asset to the town as well. I REALLY don't understand why people immediately suck in and believe everything hatmoza has said in relation to him being town, and then when I say quite clearly and truthfully that I'm an asset to the town, everybody acts as if it is a total and complete lie. 3.) The thing is, I'M TOWN, I don't know how else I can possibly say this. Town I am. I am a member of the town. I'm part of the friendly town team. Is there any other way I can tell you guys this? So when I'm lynched, and you realize that EVERYTHING I have said in regards to me being town is true, I think some WILL take heed to what I'm saying, and wonder why the hell some people were pushing a lynch against me. 4.) A vote can mean lots of things. It can mean you want to lynch somebody because you are suspicious of them. It can mean that you want that person gone because you are a scum and want to rid the game of all townies. Hell, it can even mean you are trying to push your own agenda and get somebody to reveal some information, or something along those lines. |
1) Actually as the leading candidate for a lynch, almost any vote you make would be considered one of survival in my eyes, which isn't a tell either way for alignment. With Heph's ruling that no votes would convert to No Lynch at deadline, that may have been a solid choice for you to stick with, but the radish lynch has gained a lot of steam as well.
Also, this isn't like NotStan's votes last game which didn't make sense. If anyone bandwagoned because of you voting(as long as the vote makes sense) then it's going to make them look bad, and that's regardless of your alignment.
2) When you say "If you want to target a town member, you could just as well target him" you're pretty much stating that you believe he is in fact town. And now you're either once again making a mistake as you claim or you're slipping up more. The "as well" at the end of the paragraph implies that you buy hat's claim. If you are in fact town, then there should be no question in your own eyes that for town hat would be a better lynch than you. It would be a certainty for town to lose a member if you die, but there's a fair chance that hat is lying. If you meant in the eyes of other townies then I have to apologize; however, I'm rereading your posts and unable to interpret it as such.
As far as I recall, nobody has said they don't question hat's claim. I said I like the claim, but that doesn't mean I buy it. Time will tell. Same goes for you, but "asset" as you described it here just means a member of town. Like my comment earlier about lynching and claimed power roles, it's even more naive to think that claiming town is very meaningful since everyone can do it.
3) You can say it til you're blue in the face, but I'm not going to trust it until you're either dead and actually flipped townie or somehow confirmed while still alive. The same would go for everyone else. There are people I will believe are town due to their postings, but I haven't gotten that feeling from you today. Perhaps if you live beyond this day(and night, though I'd be surprised honestly if you were killed) that may change.
IF you are lynched and IF you do flip town, then I'd say you have some good points about what would come of it. Those are some of the major reasons I do want a lynch(#1 being every day is a chance to lynch scum) as opposed to not lynching. IF you are lynched and IF you flip scum instead, we're going to have a ton of information as well as a bonus to the successful lynch.
4) So those first two reasons are basically saying a vote means wanting to lynch that person. I guess the last is saying a vote can be used to pressure someone by means of the threat of an impending lynch, or maybe you mean it can be used to see how others react to the vote. Essentially a vote for someone always provides information, right? What do you think a vote for no lynch or an actual no lynch does?
Since you never actually cleared up what Wonk mentioned as a possibility,(I'll take blame for that with this somewhat tangential discussion) would you say you are more inclined to want a lynch or no lynch in general day one? Does it depend on anything, and if so then what?
