How is it that nobody else pointed this out? I myself have tried not to bring up posts if I think they may have been townie power slips, but with people jumping at "assets" this would be quite a bad slip.

For the content itself, I would say that every member of town is an asset. Just because vanilla townies don't have any power does not make them less important. Heck powers can backfire, so a good townie can be more vital than power at times.

Combined with this post:

I get the obvious impression that radish is buddying/defending Baal, which is bizarre considering he just said:

This is why I voted radish, and since I moved it to Baal. HoS: radish

I'm not trying to buddy with Baal, but I don't agree with the line of questioning that he's going under for the "assets" thing. It reminds me of a mistake that I made in an earlier game (I can't remember what it was), and it was impossible to remove doubt from people, despite the argument being ridiculous. I just have an underlying feeling that he's not the enemy, and we should try and take his argument into consideration.

So what do you think of my position?  I said that even though I thought the "asset" point was weak, his erratic defensiveness (in contrast to last game's behavior) suggested he was scum.

(Note:  Now that someone pointed out he earlier said "asset" not "assets", I think it's a somewhat beetter point.  But obviously I felt he was worth a vote without that point.)

My opinion on baal. An extra s is a very easy thing to put in a post. It's such a simple thing that I don't think it could be used as evidence. His part in the flavor discusion was part of what lead to hat clearing up that it means nothing so not very strong evidence either. His defensiveness is a bit of an issue but it's his second game. His vote for no lynch could be as linkz says or just him not feeling comfortable with lynches on day one.

It has nothing to do with what linkz said, it has to do with me thinking lynching on day 1 is stupid except in extreme circumstances, and nothing extreme has happened yet in this game.  If the day continues on as is, it will become quite clear to you guys why I think it is stupid to lynch on day 1.

Even when a townie is lynched day one the town can still benefit by getting information. Also most likely if we don't lynch today we have one less say in who gets killed.

The defensiveness was suspicious, but I would have done the same thing if I were in that situation - what would you do? Just ignore it and wait for the situation to blow over? I doubt it.

We should leave him for today, in my opinion.

Vote: No Lynch

Also baal what would you call extreme? You had a scum confess last game and even then you weren't sure if we should lynch him. Also don't expect scum to confess like that day one.

Actually, if you look at last game, I did get defensive, it just didn't last nearly as long, because I was only brought up one time until later in the game when some started becoming suspicious.  During this time, prof basically told me I need to be careful or he will put up a fight to get me lynched.  So I immediately got very worried, and I role claimed vanilla in my defense.

Don't try telling others that my playstyle is so much different based on whether or not I'm defensive when last game I hardly had reason to become defensive, and the one time I had even the smallest bit of reasoning, I got so worried I role claimed.

Little rules update on voting:

_ No double lynch

_ End of day, I convert all absentees to "No Lynch". The option with the most votes is lynched (or not) (so someone with 6 votes when 6 other random votes are set is going to be lynched).

_ Everyone voting does not end the day, (you can vote to shorten a day too though, same as time extention).

_ I log on for sure twice a day 12 hours appart, that's lunch and midnight French time ( http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/custom.html?sort=1), that is when I can end the day. However, if someone is hammered before, all the subsequent votes are discarded. So if you're hammered then roleclaim, it's too late.

* added to the op rules.

I had other reasons for not necessarily wanting to vote him out.  I was trying to think logically whether or not it would be smarter to keep him in, and get remaining scum gone, or to vote him out, and I obviously decided to vote him out, and have since realized it was clearly the smart thing to do.

As for what is extreme, I don't know if I can even define it correctly, but to put it bluntly, perhaps something that somebody says that doesn't need to be manipulated up the wazoo, and then have people go back and re-analyze everything that person said having the thought that they are scum while doing so....I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I don't know how else to put it.
