Hatmoza's early pro town role claim, although he did the same last game and was proven to be true to his word, still a bit dubious in this case.

hat didn't claim he had a power role last game until fairly late into day two, though he did claim early on he was pro-town.

I seem to be in the minority, but for some reason I like the claim of power from him, aside from insisting on doc protection for the reason zex pointed out. As prof explained to me when I claimed miller in the last game I played in, all claims will be checked somehow. If he's being truthful then it's more likely that someone less important dies in his place, and if he's lying then the truth will come out at some point.

Actually, I put a vote based on his post. Did you not see that? I didn't gork him because I wanted to do that misguided thing of saccing him to gork, I gorked him because I didn't like his claim. I wouldn't just throw someone to the dogs just to sate the would be SK.

I did see that, but whether or not he is actually the asset that he claims he is, I can't in my right mind vote for somebody on day 1 who has the potential to be a huge asset.

First, this is extremely naive. You're pretty much saying you won't vote for anyone because they could be a power role. This also contradicts something you said roughly an hour earlier:

I don't know if you're scum, linkz, bringing this info to the forefront in a subtle way, but I just can't help but notice his gramatically correct usage of "asset" in this post.

I want Gnizmo and Linkz take on everything that's happened so far.

Rather than jump to conclusions, why did you choose the two of us to get opinions from?

Just for clarification. Are unvotes required or optional?

optional... I won't have twice the same name in the list.

@prof:

You call that subtle? I voted and then presented more of my case for the vote. I'd point out how I think it's different from when I was scum, but I realize that's really meaningless.

God damnit people, you are way over analyzing my shit here.

I originally thought there was nothing to the flavor, simply put.  I responded to prof's post with that in my mind.  It started to hit me that perhaps the flavor did have something to it, though, and I began posting many ideas as to what it could possibly mean.  After it was made quite clear there was nothing to the flavor, the argument was dropped, and I voted no lynch, because I think a first day lynch is way too risky.

In regards to the "assets," I was referring to myself.  Nothing in any way whatsoever connects to truck, nor was it meant to connect to anybody else in the game.  It referred to me, and only me.

I surely hope that the person who got this shit started (hatmoza) gets fucking lynched tomorrow after you figure out the truth.

Every town is allied with us, but only a few people can be labelled as "assets" - I feel that it signifies that the town would be considerably worse-off without them.

How is it that nobody else pointed this out? I myself have tried not to bring up posts if I think they may have been townie power slips, but with people jumping at "assets" this would be quite a bad slip.

For the content itself, I would say that every member of town is an asset. Just because vanilla townies don't have any power does not make them less important. Heck powers can backfire, so a good townie can be more vital than power at times.

Or we can lynch you with your supposed power role since you seem to want to rid the town of assets.

And how do you know TOS is an asset?

I assumed that he was talking about himself

I get the obvious impression that radish is buddying/defending Baal, which is bizarre considering he just said:

Hatmoza, I get the feeling of a player who is comfortably resting on a powerful role -"How would you lead a lynch train against me" gives me the impression that you're somewhat untouchable. However, I feel that Baalzamon may be hiding something, in the way that he described his relationship with the town as an "asset". Could mean nothing, but it struck me as odd.

This is why I voted radish, and since I moved it to Baal. HoS: radish

"The air is fresh today, though the streets are very noizy, people are arguing a lot. From time to time I think I hear a deep roar. It's frightening, I get the image of Gorky slicing Jondo in my head and I imagine it's him screaming in anticipation of his next fight... then again maybe it really is him. I better start to train my judo moves if I want to stand a chance :-/ against his lightsabers."

I'm not trying to buddy with Baal, but I don't agree with the line of questioning that he's going under for the "assets" thing. It reminds me of a mistake that I made in an earlier game (I can't remember what it was), and it was impossible to remove doubt from people, despite the argument being ridiculous. I just have an underlying feeling that he's not the enemy, and we should try and take his argument into consideration.

My opinion on baal. An extra s is a very easy thing to put in a post. It's such a simple thing that I don't think it could be used as evidence. His part in the flavor discusion was part of what lead to hat clearing up that it means nothing so not very strong evidence either. His defensiveness is a bit of an issue but it's his second game. His vote for no lynch could be as linkz says or just him not feeling comfortable with lynches on day one.
