Every town is allied with us, but only a few people can be labelled as "assets" - I feel that it signifies that the town would be considerably worse-off without them.

But does having one less townie not make the town considerably worse off...if not right away, but later on in the game?

I agree that it makes all the difference in the later stages - I just feel that "assets" was a strange word-choice, considering the circumstance.

If he was talking about himself, he would've said "an asset", the plural, for me, implies that he's referring to both hat's targets, of course I don't have a problem with him referring to himself as an asset (everyone would), but him doing the same with TOS rubs me the wrong way. One of the things WoW taught me (and I consider her very good at scum hunting) is that, in the beginning of the game, no one has any reason to defend anyone else or call them a town, except the mafia who of course know each other. Now, that might not be fully true because of the possibility of there being masons, but what I'm saying is, it either could be an innocent mistake, a mafia protecting another mafia or a mason totally blowing his cover and protecting another mason
