The only thing Goldstone (himself a Zionist) retracted was his charge Israel deliberately targeted civilians. I'm not sure if anything else was retracted. They still killed over a thousand civilians and still committed war crimes and used illegal weapons. Also let's not forget, it was Israel who broke the ceasefire pre Operation Cast Lead and it's Israel who is the occupier (except for the land of Gaza- it's been under a blockade before any rockets were fired) and it's Israel who will not stop building settlements.
The Wikileaks on the pathetic offer by the corrupt Palestinian Authority where the Palestinians would've hardly got anything was still rejected by the Israeli Government because as it has proved over the last few decades, Israel put's biblical land before peace because it knows militarily they can never be defeated in the foreseable future and they have the complete backing of the worlds most powerful nation regardless of it's actions.
Also let's not forget Goldtsone was subject to intense character assasination and demonised within his own Jewish community. He must have been under immense pressure to retract his charge and the 'new' evidence brought to his attention was from an Israeli Military investigation. Hardly an independent source.
