" Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System"

Oh god...

FF licks the feet of Tales battle systems.

Can not compare an action RPG to a turn based RPG. Two different things that are supposed to play completely differently.

Agreed. Thank you for this correction.

It's been over a month since we last heard from Namco Bandai about any character reveals for Tales of Xillia, with Elise Rutas's reveal taking place early last month. A new partial scan has been leaked which shows off what appears to be the game's sixth and final playable character.

The game will utilize the contrast between light and shadow, which will lead to the game having a different art style direction than Vesperia's anime-style graphics or Graces's watercolor-style graphics (it could be more of a hand-painted or oil painting-like feel if the concept artwork is any indication). Baba stated that when he saw some of the concept artwork images running on actual hardware he was very impressed.

The character, a male, is named Lohen J. Ilbert (although some possible translations for the first name include Roen, Roan and Rowen, due to the quality of the scan) and surprisingly for the series, is 62 years old. As expected from how he looks, he's a butler for a noble family in the game. He's designed by Mutsumi Inomata.

While this hasn't been confirmed due to a lack of a full scan, rumors are that he can use Artes from afar and attack at close range with a saber. He also appears to have the ability to control his Artes after casting them (maybe being able to move after initially casting them or direct when they end up with a greater degree of accuracy?).

The theories of him being the final character stem from images of a ticket for JR Shikoku trains, which shows the other five characters with this new character hidden.

Tales of Xillia is set for a 2011 release in Japan. No word has been given on a North American or European release.
