Capcom overships a lot to. I know with Bionic Command, Lost Planet 2 and Dark Void they had to clear at copies at $10-$20 (I got my LP2 for $10 and it was on sale for that price a lot. Hell Gamestop lowered their Bionic Commando new copies to $10 at one point, and used was $4 at one point!). Though I think they are more save with MVC3 because of word of mouth - they will probably sell off a majority of the copies they shipped at $50 or $60.



It's just that simple.

I don't see how this is a case of over shipment unless PAL sales were just dreadful.  Remember that 790k is just the US, and just for february.  It was probably closer to 900k for the Americas in Feb, and who knows what it did in March.
