Eh.  Yes and No.

My friend used to live in a house that was converted from a Civil War hospital into a house.  They believed in ghosts, walking up and down the stairs and shit, all that stuff.  I always just took it as bad stairs and such.

Though one day after a party, being the only person that stayed sober, I helped him clean up, cleaned out a bunch of stuff in his bomb shelter... he asked me to close the door, and the thing slammed shut HARD.  Definitly wasn't the wind, becuase well this was a heavy ass door, and there wasn't any wind anyway being underground.

Was just in the shelter and cleaned everything up so I know nobody was in there or any shit like that.

Don't really have an explination for it other then ghosts, though I don't see why a "ghost" would be trapped on earth.

Was the bomb shelter built at a slight angle at all? I would have imagined that if the shelter was built on an incline then the door would have a tendency to slam shut if it opened towards the top of the incline, and the heavier it is the harder it would slam, all it may have needed to slam hard was a nudge. That would be my immediate assumption if a heavy door slammed shut.

Nope.

Then you should be afraid, very very afraid.

Hell yeah I believe in ghosts. Had my own experience and once that happens to a person, they really can't deny it. But it is one of those things where you have to see it to believe it. But when it happens it changes your perception on things.

I would say it's a reason why I'm still a Christian. It really does prove life after death for me. Connect the dots.. and it becomes woven into your core beliefs.

Orbs are mtly bullshit, rarely do they seem to be out of the ordinary as they say. "Ghost Hunters" seems plausable. "Ghost adventures" is incredibly fake though... but it's also more exciting, lol.

In the Chrisitan religion there are no ghosts.

so say you.

It is good to know that you are the supreme authority on the bible though, i'll keep that in mind.

Well, I'll send an e-mail to the Pope and ask him. Maybe his answer would satisfy you.

Long story short Christianity is very complex you can't stereotype all Christian's into a single denomination. Some believe in ghosts , others in demon's and angel's and some don't even believe in God though I don't consider those denominations Christian.

Well that makes no sense. Of course they're not Christians (or even religious for taht matter)/

Thats the problem they consider themselves Christian's. Theirs actually a church in the city I live in who believes that God is love and not actually God. They also believe that Jesus was just a very good man and that the Bible is a good book which we should follow to be good people.

So they claim because they believe the Bible is a good book that we should lead our lives by, and they believe Jesus was a real man that they are Christian.

Their are so many different denominations of Christianity, its pretty much impossible to rope them all into a single group.

Yes, I do.  I've known many people, trustworthy people, who have encountered things that simply cannot be explained.

I think the main thing holding people back from believing in ghosts is the idea that they are people.  I don't think they are.  It's more likely some sort of phenomenon that we simply don't understand.  Eventually we'll have the technology to figure out exactly what's happening.  "Ghost of dead people" is just the most convenient explanation for something that can't be explained.

Hmmm, well there is a name for such people, though I don't remember it for sure. I think what they're saying makes more sense than how you explained it the first time. They simply don't believe in the supernatural, but follow the ethics of Christianity.

Well if they only follow the nice beliefs (which is basically mostly everything from the New Testament, Old Testament is a bit nasty in places) then I'd actually find myself mostly agreeing with that group. From the bible it's very hard to dislike Jesus, he was a good man and exceptionally socially progressive for somebody 2000 years ago.
