I would test if my video card supported directX 9.0.

just picked up a  a pallit GTX465 it was half price is there much difference between it and a GTX 460

Nice.

GTX465 got a bad rep because it was overpriced when it came out and it generated more heat and drew more power than the similar cards.

However as long as you paid less than you would for a GTX460, you've made a good choice. Those 2 cards are neck and neck in performance, but the 465 is clocked lower hence it has higher overclocking headroom.

You have solid machine and really won't need to upgrade till Crysis 3 comes out.

What I would do at this point is overclock the CPU if you haven't done so already. Take alook at this - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/intel_e8400/3.htm

Get the bus speed to 500 mhz x 8  multiplier, little extra voltage to CPU...done. You should easily be able to get it to 4.0 ghz and keep it stable on air cooling with one of those 40 dollar aftermarket CPU heatsinks.

Then I'd pick up another GTX465 used for like 100 bucks down the road and get some sli action going.
