Forums - Gaming - The force unleashed II. What's your opinion?

I have just finish playing the first TFU  and I enjoyed it a lot, dlc's included.  I thought the gameplay was awesome and the graphics top notch.  The story was also very good.  I really took my time with it and thought it was a great game.

And now, I am the proud owner of TFU II.  From what I am reading, my bubble is about to be burst very fast.  It seems that, beside the graphics, it doesn't live up to it's potential.  Having already bought it, I am prepared to forgive a lot.  But I am always interested in the opinions of my fellow gamers.  So, what do you think about it now that you have played it?  Thanks!

Well for an second you were talking about TFU2 in the first paragraph, which i would of then replyed, "you have low standards i envy you".

But no i haven't played any one of them but i have heard that TFU2 is short but very padded the almost werid thing about it that makes the game terrible.

But i haven't played it but thats what i have read and heard, so hopefully you enjoy it like you did with Tron Evolution.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I liked the original FU on PS3 AND Wii. having played the 2nd on 360, i have to say it was a waste of time and money, i hope you got it on sale because it felt nothing more than a glorifed downloadable content pushed off as a game. IT shouldnt exist, they got greedy and wrote some hack story and threw it out there. This is coming from a guy who thinks the PT aint that bad

I played the demo after I played GOW3 and it just felt like the game was broken.

Thanks for your replies.  I have played for about an hour so far and I think it's ok.  The graphics are really well done and the gameplay is solid, almost too solid.  In the first one, I could spend my force "mana" pretty quickly.  In this sequel, I feel invincible.  I have crushed so many fighters that it's almost like the devs gave us too much power.  As far as the story goes, not much is happening so far, but I will see.

By the way, I kind of got it on sale.  I bought it new, on ebay, for 33$.  I was on such a high from the first one that I didn't think twice when I saw it going for that price.  So far, it seems like it's worth it, as I do not feel let down by the game.  I hope it stays that way.

As for Tron Evolution, I think that game struck a nostalgia vibe in me.  As a young kid, I was really impressed by the movie.  Playing the game brought back those memories.  I know it's not a masterpiece, but I have played through it 3 times so far and still having fun.

Complaints seemed to typically be it was way too short and the story was severely lacking.

Nothing about the game compelled me to want to play it even though the original was actually quite good for a Star Wars game.

I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually during one of Steam's crazy sales for under $20.

33 bucks is what i would pay for that game

Well, I have just finished it...I don't think this is a bad game, but it is a let down after the first one.  The graphics, that I found so amazing at first, got boring after a while.  You keep coming back to the same places.  Three or four times in a row, same room, exactly the same room.  The enemies were the same every time.  Even if it was not a long game by any means, I wanted it to finish.  And  the last fight just doesn't seem to finish.  This was the most repetetive boss fight of my life.  It really destroyed any emotional impact I had.  Such high hopes for it, too bad.

For someone who played the first and is thinking about the second, I strongly suggest that you rent it.  If you are a fan of Star Wars and want it in your collection, wait for a price drop. I paid 33$ for it and I think I overpaid.  I have almost no desire to start a second playthrough.  Of course, I just started playing Crysis 2, so I will be occupied for some time.
