Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

While I think this is great for the 360, it seems yet another example of developers not being able to get their heads around the PS3. I'm happy and disapointed, I know that Sony brought this on themeselves by making such compelx architecture, but I'm happy to see devs still pushing the limit with the 360. I for one, had thought the 360 was maxed, having not seen any tangible progress since MW2. As a PS3 owner, one of the bright spots is having so many internal studios working together and competing, you know that each year everything will be pushed one step further. Hopefully this will have a similar effect for the 360.

I must say congrats to Crytek. I bet all the 360 owners are salivating at the prospect of Kingdoms.

Don't you mean Gears 2? Cause it looks much better then MW2.

I hope more developers use this game engine instead of Unreal Engine 3.

Codename Kingdoms will probably look even slightly better then Crysis 2 since it is being made spefically for the 360.

Yep, Crytek has already stated that they will be able to get more out of the 360 because of Kingdoms exclusivity.

Man, why do we have to wait for the 25th?

Is that when new info on Kingdoms comes out?

No sorry, my words are a bit out of context. I pre-ordered Crysis and it launches on the 25th

I don't. CryEngine 2 is vastly superior to CryEngine 3. Hell, Doom 3 looks far better than Crysis 2.

I posted b4 in a previous tread, This is what Microsft supposed to be doing instead of just focusing in casual friendly and average looking games, what id Software, Splash Damage and Crytek (just to metion a few talented developers) are doing is taking this gen console, specially the XBOX360 to a whole nother level and its a shame that in house developers and the mayority of 3rd party developers just slap an outdate engine and call it a day still knowing that there's potential in their money making precious system called Xbox 360..

3rd party devs should start licensing new engines and scrap UE3 that looks so last gen compared to these new and improved engines..

The only one that can really push UE3 and knows the in and outs and know how to optimize it to the fullest to work superb on the Xbox360 its Epic itself, everybody else that licenced UE3 dont know how to optimize it or just want a quick buck without putting any effort in to it.

I would leave Epic to deal with its own engine as it seems they are the only ones to update their own version of UE3 only when they PUT OUT THEIR OWN GAMES! and everybody gets screwed with the old version, I would like to see other developers start licencing engines from Crytek, iD Software etc.. let them take 3yrs on a game and let them take advantage of the hardware, the results will be nothing but quality

Bottom line, it comes down to the developers, how talented they are and an engine that can really push the hardware to new levels.

Hate you UE3!  nothing but limiting my Xbox :p
