Does anyone have news/information/stories/etc. about stores marking up games.
I don't mean the excessive Wii bundles. I mean stores charging more then MSRP for software.
Gamestop chain used to have different price points, including some above MSRP for non-urban, non-competitive stores (usually a $5 charge for being in BFE). Some items at Best Buy can be $2 or $3 or $5 high if you live in smaller places (this includes things like telephones).
Recently, Target and Gamestop sold the Wii Zapper for $25 while everyone else had it for MSRP of $20.
Also, when the first shipment sold out, Gamestop upped the price for Midway's Gamep Party a five-spot to $25.
Any other examples?
