Also did you just hear, Gaddafi wants to start arming all of his supporters to go out and murder his opposition. Nothing good can come from giving everyone weapons. That will create war lords and soon we will have another Somalia!

That's all we need.

Furthermore, America was trashed and thrown mud at the world over when we attacked Iraq and Afghanistan.

And USA did not deserve that? Hey the world was just using free voice..Something that you talk in your post so postive about but also negative kind of strange..

Anyway I am pretty sure that the people who complained the most about the war in Iraq and were marching on the streets of Washington were not some idiots from Europe ;).

80% of Americans supported the invasions when they happened. When war was authorized, it passed notable margins in the congress and senate.

My point was that we were thrown in the mud for what we did (and rightfully so), now the shoe is on the other foot, and it seems that Europe is happy to be in the position its taking. My arguments should resonate to the fact that unless a country is directly attacking you or an ally that you have previously signed mutual defense treaties with, you should not be involved - no proxy wars, no NFZ's, and so on.

Thrown in the mud for sure not at the beginning of the war...Only three countries were at the beginning "against' the war in Europe..France, Belgium, Germany and 'against' is a strong word for actually wanting more proof but that didn't help with Bush famous quote 'You are with us or you are against us'... Thrown in the mud happened later... and i agree with the bolded part...Only this war in Libya started with good intentions...If in five years we conclude it was a mistake you may throw so much mud you want to Europe.

Arab League switched sides and now those clowns are objecting UN resolution, bunch of fucking traitors. Don't you think that these clowns are now scared after all the recent manifestatons that their own days are coming to an end? Obviously that's why they are in to mess with the resolution.

Well I hope this stupid actions of theirs frees US hands so now the government can give some real support to all the struggling people in the Middle East. Every VGCharter who is unfortunate to live under the dictatorship, don't be afraid anymore! Arab people should go out into the streets and show will and unity, together we will throw down all those bloody sheikhs and fucking sultans!

Notice that Libya is begging for a cease fire again, but I noticed that Gaddafi still isn't meeting Obama's demands for a cease fire. Obama clearly said that Gaddafi had to pull all his troops from the Eastern half of Libya, he had to pull all his troops from Zawiya and Misrata, and restore power, water and allow humanitarian aid in. But Gaddafi isn't doing any of that.

Also does anyone wonder if their will be no boots on the ground who is going to bring the UN aid in? The medical supplies and food? Are we just going to drop shit loads of aid off in the harbour near Benghazi and hope the rebels distribute it evenly to the people? If so what about Misrata and Zawiya? We going to air drop medical supplies and food into the city and hope the civilians can unify and distribute it.

As for this being an example to all the middle east, I'd hate to see this happen across the middle east. A bloody civil war in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain , Yemen etc...etc... Now in some cases like Syria and Iran where the Government is killing protestors and imprisoning them for up to 20 years, yah I would think a good ass kicking is in order.

However I think peaceful demonstration's with support from the West would be far more effective in most of the middle east. Obama already condemned sending Saudi troops into Bahrain, if protestors can keep up the pressure in Bahrain and else where I'm sure a peaceful over throw could be carried out.

Also if this continues to happen across the Middle East (Violent wars) the UN could not contain it. Their aren't enough resources within the US and its allies to impose no fly zones over a few more countries. I heard on the news that this no fly zone could be using up to a 1,000 fighter jets. That is alot of fire power and even the great and mighty US doesn't have another 1,000-2,000 additional fighter jets to impose another one or two no fly zones!

He isn't, he's not stupid enough to have stayed in his residence. Also he keeps issueing orders and interviews over the phone. He's not likely to be in any of the military command centers that are targets of the allied forces. Also keep in mind Obama has clearly stated Gaddafi himself is not a target and that they aren't demanding he step down. So he's not likely to be killed by the allies. However France has said they want Gaddafi gone and since the US is going to step down as the head of operations , if France takes command hopefully we'll assasinate the guy.

Uh c'mon. If Obama had been serious about that, then they shouldn't have bombed the palace in the first place, right? That was just politics that time, as he obviously couldn't say otherwise because of all those traitors in Arab League jumping sides and fucking commies around shitting bricks. Like they were forced to peacefully call the whole operation a "no fly zone" though obviously you _have_to_ bomb enemy positions, craft and venicles and even troops, to make sure those bastards won't be shooting the rebels again.

Anyways. It's surely the fastest way to liberate Lybian people if Kadafi with his bastards are "missed in action'. So that's what Air Force is doing, and I salut them for this. If only US could send some spec ops after Kadafi, this would be so much easier! :(

Your very wrong about the bit I've highlighted in bold. Obama never condemned anyone. The GCC (which is basically dominated by Saudi Arabia) went in with tactic US approval. Robert Gates went to Bahrian days before the the invasion by Saudi troops and without green light from the US, Saudi Arabia would never have sent in troops. If you read any of the US statements all they do is call for restraint, not for withdrawal. Remember the US Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain and it's possible if the country becomes democratic they majority of the population would ask for it's removal. This is realpolitik, nothing humanitarian about any of this including the bombing of Libya.

Good job, the youngest of Gaddafi sons is reported killed! One down, six to go!

And then main dish, lawl

PS> And I read that SAS took action in Lybia, coordinating air operations from the ground! Imagine that, have UK govs noticed my previous complain in the thread?! :D
