Pretty much this. I'm very confused as to why the OP has decided to single out the United States.

I singled out the US because of Obama's speech's. When you constantly threaten and offer to assist the people of Libya. But drag your feet as long as possible while people are dying. Thats why I signalled the US out, not to mention the rest of NATO always awaits the US's approval before doing anything as they are the super power.
Obama said like a month ago that the attacks on unarmed civilians was unacceptable and that Gaddafi had to step down immediatly or the US would do something. Then the US threatened a no-fly zone, the rest of Nato backed the idea, then Obama decided before taking action it needed UN approval. Then the Arab League begged the world to implement a no-fly zone. Finally it got before the UN and it took a week of debating before finally the no-fly zone gets approved. Then the US says they will discuss it in France allowing another two days to go by. Then finally after Gaddafi's troops enter Benghazi finally the no-fly zone begins.
Also those mentioning Bahrain and Yemen. Neither Government has begun slaughtering everyone who opposes. I read Gaddafi's forces injured or killed 600 people in one day. Reports have come in from rebels saying thousands of protestors Women and children are being killed. Gaddafi himself said he would kill the protestors like dogs going door to door to find these disturbers and slaughter them all.
So far in Bahrain and Yemen their has been minimal deaths. I know 40 in one day is alittle bad, but the US sent a warning to Yemen after that as well. As for Syria, yah I'd say if the Government starts using excessive force on a massive scale like killing hundreds in a day, then yes the US or UN should intervene.
As for the Iranian Green Revolution, I agree the US should have done something. However the protestors were still a minority. Also much like Bahrain and Libya right now we don't know how many people were killed. Was it dozens like the Iranian Government declared or hundreds.
Libya is an exception because of how many people are being killed, also its a majority of the Libyan people who want Gaddafi gone. Outside of Tripoli the rest of the country wants him gone and he's willing to kill anyone and everyone who opposes him.
Also did you just hear, Gaddafi wants to start arming all of his supporters to go out and murder his opposition. Nothing good can come from giving everyone weapons. That will create war lords and soon we will have another Somalia!
