Forums - Microsoft - Internet Explorer 9

It's great. I am loving it.

It feels part of the OS which is why I prefer first party applications. So far I am thinking I won't be downloading a third party browser next time I format my pc. Finally MS!!!

It's Fast and LIGHT.

what do you tinhk?

cons:

Nothing so far.

I tried posting this using IE9 and it didn't work. This a vgc problem amiright? :/

questions while I am at it:

how do i enable spell checker? I know spell checker never worked on this site but I need it when I browse other websites.

Posted from my chrome -.-'

Also it seems that I can't move the pointer with the mouse, I can only move between letters using the left and right arrows.

EDIT: I can't edit or post threads but I can only post replies.

Seems way faster (which means up to par with every other browser on the market) and less fancier. From a little coding I have done on it, it seems to yeild the same results as FF 3.6, which is nice.

Still gonna use my Firefox due to plug-ins of course. Firebug is too important to me.

Hold up, so it just now caught up to the speed of FF 3.6? So FF 4 will blow it away once again?

Unlikely. All browsers function well enough. IE just caught up.

Do the tabs still take 5x longer to load than firefox tabs or has that been fixed as well?  Ever since I switched to Firefox, I have just not been able to go back to Explorer because 8 was no comparison.

IE9 is chrome/FF in a different skin. I have been using the three of them in the past few days. There is absolutely no noticeable difference in loading pages. Almost Equal results, chrome feels a tiny bit faster.

Now it's up for you to decide.

Chrome is a no for me because it lacks proper RSS.

IE9 feels like it's part of windows which a plus for me, however I know most people are not as OCD about it.

Firefox has lots of plugins but apart from adblocker I don't use them.

interesting, at least they finally made some much needed improvements, maybe I'll give it a try...

What's the difference for memory consumption on computers?

The gif in Carl's sig runs much slower in IE, so that's a plus. :D

fyi, I am using firefox atm because vgch has troubles with IE9.

about the memory, I honestly don't know, I have 4 gig ram and all of them seem to run fine, nothing heavy.
