Extremely hard to track is the sales of both Kinect and Kinect Adventures. Every month Microsoft has reported that brand new 360's sold, more than half are purchased as Kinect Bundles.

This is evedent by the complete lack of availability even going into March of getting a new 360: Kinect bundle easily.

Looking locally will give everyone a clue anyway. Alot of stores are putting signs in the window telling consumers when the next delivery for Kinect/360 bundle will arrive. And when it's in the display changes to NOW in STOCK.

More importantly for Microsoft is the HUGE news press that Kinect and M$ have seen this week.

Every major news station in the UK has had the 6'oclock spot telling the world it's the fastest selling consumer device for electronics ever recorded. Beating the late PS Move by over 5:1 worldwide. ( 10 million sold to consumer since Kinect launched)

Many straight up gamers will obvioulsy always continue to dismiss the motion sensor, but the fact is it's selling unbelievably well and is incredibly fun with family and friends.

It would seem the only way is up for Kinect as it maintains it's high demand and the share value for M$ because of this success has sky rocketed.

Good press this week for M$, which looks as though Kinect is pinpointing itself with a wide wide audience.

I think VGC should look at the figures for Kinect Adventures. Assuming this is a representation of how many Kinects are sold ( considering it comes free with every Kinect both solo and 360 bundled ) then by VGC figures Kinect would not even be in the top 10 consumer selling devices.

Microsoft have confirmed Kinect is the fastest selling device to consumer according to their own sales figures. Kinect Adventures is actually over 10 million as well.

Microsft Game division in the quater when Kinect released rose $1.3 Billion.

It is certainly a huge success in the United States, I actualy hear people talking about it the same way they used to for the Wii. But as successful as it has been, it hasnt affected the sale of the other consoles, it has actually help.

The 360 is up and still not the best selling console of 2011, or 2010. As a matter of fact, the Wii has its own problem which has nothing to do with Kinect. The PS3 will have much better quater than 2010. While it's really amazing what Kinect has done, MS has really messed up its console sales by not having enough when demands was at its highest. 

The Wii has been abondonned by Nintendo, left to be supported by 2010 games. I can't remember the last game Nintendo released on the Wii. 

No he's right.  There is no sign of PS3 and Wii having different sales patterns since Kinect launch.  PS3 is down vs it's own peak from previous year when Slim launched but it's trending the same after Kinect as before.  Same for Wii really.  For Kinect to have affected them their sales patterns should have changed right after Kinect launched, but they didn't in any noticable way.

Wii was trending that way before Kinect launched and was PS3.

Is it Kinect that has the Wii selling 11k in japan, down 40% in Europe? The only place Kinect is a force is the US and it didnt stop the wii from selling 450k in feb.

Is it painful for you to admit Kinect is doing brilliantly outside the U.S It's doing awesome in UK and Mexico, and likely other english language dominated countries. (No I don't think Mexico is an english speaking dominated country FYI)
