Diablo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Torchlight

Maybe but you have to factor in how long ago the last Diablo was released, and when is Diablo 3 coming out? end of this year? 2012? 2022? No one really knows, so Torchlight is to tide over people before Diablo 3.

You also have to factor in how many ex-Diablo developers made this. I think anyone who enjoys Diablo but doesn't enjoy Torchlight is outright lying or has some extremely wierd taste. My only complaints from the PC versions were lack of co-op and only three classes. But for $10 there wasn't much to argue against.

Turning off the blood and damage info made the frame rate jump a bit which is funny. I also re-launched TL and went into a dungeon the framerate was up. I'm wondering if its a cache issue similiar to Fallout New Vegas, or something else thats hampering the frame rate.

Also looks like someone has figured out a glitch of some sort because they have 21million in gold in just a few hours taking first place on the leaderboards. I managed to climb in the top 200 just by playing 8 hours straight, which I'm sure someone will pass me on soon enough with the game just being released.

It's just that simple.

Around the Network

I'm going to have to try the Alchemist afterwards to see if the controller works well with spell casters. There is little incentive for me to try with a different character though after I beat the game and get the enchant items and transform pet achievements for the 200G (I already got the achievement for sending the pet to town). But I guess I'll play around with the Alchemist to see how it works. I can be such an achievement whore sometimes... lol

If the controller scheme works with these type of games, I'd like to see Diablo III on the Xbox 360/PS3 (I prefer playing multi-plats on the Xbox 360 unless the 360 port is not as good ie. FF13 but since my Gold subscription ran out and I'm too much of a cheap skate to buy another subscription card, I've decided to shift over to PSN for multiplayer games so I would pick up the PS3 version. Besides I've played out my Xbox 360 a lot more than my PS3 so it's only fair. lol). There's a good possibility Diablo III won't run on my laptop, I don't have a desktop now and I don't feel like building a dedicated gaming PC (laptop takes care of everything else besides high-end recent games).
