Forums - Microsoft - Torchlight is now on XBLA!

Now my question is do you enjoy it, what are your impressions?

I downloaded the demo and will be upgrading, I found it to be a lot of fun, somewhat closer to Never Winter Nights apart from the town setting for mine than Diablo but thats just me.

I played Torchlight on the PC awhile back. Still haven't finished it. Was pretty fun. Apparently the XBLA version has some exclusive content. I might get the XBLA version. It's a good game and I could use some extra achievements. lol.

I beat the snot out of the PC version (well not entirely, the Steam achivements are insane) using the Warrior type and only died twice on normal. So I went through with the spell caster and already died twice on Hard on level 7.

It's nearly identical to the PC verison outside of 1) Frame rate - It can get a bit nasty when there are tons of enemies on screen. 2) No Town Portal hot key, a big WTF so I gota go to inventory everytime. Takes some getting use to. 3) Exclusive Ogre pet via gifting it someone, and a potion so u can reset your skill points I believe. 4) Achivements and avatar awards. 5) Price - This is $15 and has been $10 and $5 on Steam before, but that's a $5 discount over the PC boxed version at $20.

Outside of those issues and lack of co-op It's a must buy at $15 for 360 owners. I hope the game gets more support so we can see Torchlight 2 on consoles as soon as It's released.

When the game was released in 2009 it was my PC exclusive game of the year and the only PC game I bought more then 15 hours into that year. I'd probably put it in my top five games for PC overall that year, and rate it as the best Diablo clone to date!

It's just that simple.

was brink on the original? Because isnt he a  360 xbla character? Brink was also on pc and ps3 apparently, but the question still presents itself

will download soon

I bought the XBLA version. Playing as the Destroyer. I don't have any complaints with the controller controls (it does suck to hear that you can't use a hotkey for town portals though) thus far but I am using a melee character so that's kinda expected. I was using an Alchemist when playing the PC version.  I think this should be an easy and enjoyable 200/200. lol (though it will take quite a bit of time to get that 200. This game isn't small for a XBLA title). I wish they had added co-op to the game. Would have made it a lot more fun.

I didn't know they released a PS3 version. Brink is a NPC not a playable characters. It's the same three playable characters from the PC version.

Right now after getting use to everything my only gripe vs the PC version is frame rate. It gets a bit hectic with all the enemies and spell casting.

Yeah I went down to floor 12 with my Destroyer and have noticed that the frame rate slows down really bad (disrupting gameplay big game) when there's lots of enemies attacking and casting spells. Hopefully they release a patch that addresses that issue. Torchlight is a very low-fi game so this is unacceptable.
