"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on 'Two and a Half Men' effective immediately," the company, which produces the show, said in a statement.

But it may not be the end of the series: Warner Bros. spokesman Paul McGuire said "no decision has been made regarding the future of the show."

Rumor: I heard that they where thinking about filling the position by John Stamos. I think this is a bad idea.

 I personally think no one can fill the position charlie sheen filled. He has lived the life and it just will not be funny without him. I think they should have weathered his situation given the show is about the exact same thing. So he talked a little junk and so on, Big deal. Thats what made the show so big the actions of charlie sheen. Let him go into rehab, run his mouth and go back to business when it is all said and done. All this would have made the show that much bigger. Stupid move by Warner Bros.

The show wont surivive without him.... And he wasnt even my favorite character on there, Alan was.... I like alan cause he always got into trouble over stuff thats ridiculous.... Charlie was just living his real life.... A drinker and whore monger.... I think hes an ass in real life.... Simple as that..... 

Thats too bad and even if they do find a replacement it will never be as good. He was the main reason I even started watching the show. To me he was the base of the show. While I find most of the people on the show great, its their interactions with him that I am most fond of. Its one of three sitcoms or for that matter one of three shows I find worth watching. Ive been a fan of his since Hot Shots and THe Chase. Its a shame. The guy might need some help, but really we only see parts of what is really going on.

P.S. chances of the show actually being a hit moving on is slim. Ill watch it to see if the other actors find a new base, but I am not hopeful.

Show won't work without Sheen. Now its One and a half men.

I don't think the show could work without any of the 3 main guys (allen, charlie, jake). 

They have to either re-hire him or end the show. 

I think the show is pretty much over now. I'll give them a chance from next season (only a few episodes left and there's probably not enough time for everything to go smoothly), but I don't think they'll be able to recover.

I think they need to call him up and tell him that they will rehire him but want him to continue on with his help>

I've stopped watching the show years ago. If anything, it's been milked a long time ago, all I see Charlie doing is just: Having sex with a random gorgeous woman, sitting on a couch/chair contemplating his life with a glass of whisky/scotch or w/e it is that he drinks. if anything he should have been fired a time ago, that guys a douchebag AND the highest paid, $2 million or something per episode is INSANE.
