I may have a Playstation Move.

My little sister's husband bought a PS3 on Saturday.  He'd been wanting one for a while but I told him that since he had a 360, it wasn't really a point (he's not really a gamer.  he just plays Madden, NBA Live, and Burnout).  So, I call my sis and she tells me that they need to add me on the PSN.  I tell them that it's the same as my Gamertag.  They still haven't added me.

So when I call a couple of days ago, and ask how my niece is doing, my sis tells me she's "Playing with her ice-cream cone".  After work today, I go to their house and I decide to check out their PS3.  "It's so small", I say.  Then I see it.  A copy of Sports Champions, still in the shrink wrap.  Wait.  "

They have the PS Move and they haven't even touched it.  Even when I explain to them that it's like a Wii only better (debateable, but I'm trying to get her excited), she doesn't even seem excited.  So my next statement was, "Give it to me."

She says she has to ask her husband.  I told her to tell him I'll give him $20 for it.  I'm actually pretty excited about it!  And even if they don't give it to me, I can still go over there and play it.  SWEET!

how is that debatable, move does the exact same thing that wii does/can, and does it better and more accurately. there is not one thing that the wii mote can do that the move cant (bar the the speaker... lol)

oh and if you get the move, play killzone with it, its awesome

Only you can make me bad mouth the PS3 in a thread that I made about wanting something for the PS3!

-Speaker (which you mentioned)

-motion control in the "Nunchuck"

-Turn on the Wii

That's three things!!  Oh and a couple of guys on my job want me to play Call of Duty with them on the PS3.  I told them I already have the 360 version.  We all agreed that we WILL be getting Killzone 3 this weekend (yes, all three of us!!).  If I get that Move, I will be at an advantage, I think.  Hey, do I need both halfs of the Move for Killzone or can it work with the Dual Shock and the Light Bulb-y half of the Move?

well actually the move can turn on and off the ps3, but if your talking about the wii, ur right it cant turn it on.

i was speciffically talking about the move motion controller and wii mote, but if you have 2 move motion controllers then it can still do what the nunchuck can. but anyway i dont want to be confrontational with you, im going to try to get on ur good side for now on.

if i understand ur question correctly, yes you can use the dualshock with the move motion controller, but i woulf recomend the navcon (thats what ive used, i havent tried it with the left side of the DS3, so i dont know how easy it is to use, but the navcon is very easy to use).

it is very hard to use. i'm playeing RE5 with a sixaxis and Move and it gets heavy after a while and cramps up the hands. its very hard to hold a normal controller in just one hand for an extended period of time. now, i'm using a plain sixaxis controller and not a DS3 which is heavier. if a lighter sixaxis can cramp my hand in just 15min, just imagine how it'll feel like to hold a DS3 with just one hand.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.  If she turn that Move over to me, I'm gonna go ahead and snatch up a Navigation Controller.  I always wanted to play an FPS with Wii-like controls but the Wii's FPS offerings just never did it for me.  RE4 Wii Edition and Metroid 3 sold me on the premise.  Anyway, I appreciate your reply.

make sure to play lots of botzone for practice with the move. dont give up on it if its a bit jarring at 1st, with pactice it becomes very easy to play, i have 1.6 KD (which in my opinion is pretty good).

also make sure you turn on the aim assist (i cant remember the aim assists name, theres 2 different aim assists, one you can use in multiplayer, and the other  you cant) in multiplayer it helps a lot. you learn to use to help you find enemies that a far off in the distance or hard to see, it locks on to them (sort of) and can kill them, i tried playing with the DS3, and i couldnt i was very bad

Well, my sis didn't give me the Move.  After I told her what it could do, they tried it and she liked it.  I stopped by their house today to show them the features of the PS3 (I was supposed to do this days ago) and I finally tried the Move.

FUCKING AMAZING.

I only played Ping Pong.  After a quick calibration (have I really gotten that fat?  No.  That camera must be lying....) and a couple of minutes of tutorial, I was having the time of my life!!  It was everything I hoped the Wii would be at launch.  I had a blast!!  I'm tempted to buy one, now.

Flight Control is great with Move. Its easy to learn and u'll have a  blast. Im also considering getting echochrome II. Lots of interesting move games on the PSN store.

@d21lewis  i 2nd that, the Move is what i wanted the Wii to be in the first place, freaking accurate! I'll say is again Echocrhome 2 is pretty good.

This thread lives again?

So after playing the Move on Thursday, I was hungry for some accurate motion control.  I also planned on getting a new 360 for a while now since my 60GB 360 has been out of HDD space for some time.  I spent most of the late night hours watching video reviews of Wii Motion Plus, Kinect, and Move.  I could've gotten all three but that's just too much at once.

I grabbed the 250gb Kinect bundle.

My plan was to swap with my sis whenever I needed my Move fix.  Turns out when you buy the bundle, you don't get the power source that's needed to power Kinect with older 360's.  Plus, there's not enough room in my game room for me to enjoy Kinect.  I tried it diagonally and it worked great (especially the Dance Central demo) but I still prefer the move.  I moved my old 360 to the living room and for the first time since 2007, the lack of Wi-Fi hurt my 360 experience.  I haven't taken my new 360 onnline yet either since I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep all of my old XBLA games playable on both the new and the old system.  The Kinect is in the box in my closet for now.

But I've had a taste of Move and I still want more (and Wii Sports Resort was sold out at Wal Mart) so I'll probably be buying my own Move in the near future.  In the meantime, my sis has to get used to me visiting more frequently.  It's an awesome peace of hardware and possibly the best motion controller on the market.

do we have our selves a convert?

hope u get it.

i love it with KZ3. the only move games i own though are sports champions, LBP2 (which really only has part of it with move, its a seperate game, and is short but still is fun), and KZ3. i might buy games like move heroes and sorcery when the come out, but im not really into the move only games. also i unfortunetly beat and sold heavy rain before the move came out, so havent played that. also though it got pretty bad reviews, people on this site say the fight lights out is good. i havent played that either so i dont know

If/when you get it you must get a second Move controller and The Fight Lights Out. It's an essential game for anyone that has Move and is worth buying a second Move controller for alone. Ignore the so-called 'professional' reviews and have a look at the Metacritic user reviews instead (including mine!), particularly from FightFan - he nails it on the head perfectly.

Just be prepared to be crippled for a couple of days after you've first had a go unless you spar regularly in real life and remember that your fighter to start off with is a bit pants and that you need to train him to improve his stats in an RPG-fashion...something that I suspect the majority of reviewers didn't do. The controls work perfectly, your fighter on screen replicates your exact hand movements with no lag whatsoever...you can even do the Hokey Cokey lol. If your punches aren't connecting or are connecting but not doing a great deal of damage then the problem is with you, not the controls.

120 fighters to beat to complete the single player game 100%, splitscreen multiplayer, online multiplayer and a nice fun feature that lets you spectate and bet on other people's fights makes it excellent value for money. It's the best game I've played on my PS3 so far and is as addictive as crack cocaine, so be careful lol

I frankly never thought of you as a guy who might like move......

If you like it and some day buy it, get echochrome 2. And PS Move heroes or something.

Sony once again took a great device and gave it no chance by the lack of software. After playing ping pong, I have been yearning for some Move game that are made for move, a killer game. I am still waiting.

I just love video games and I appreciate them wherever they come from.  I may seem a little anti-Sony sometimes but that's just my nature.  I just try to make people look at things in a different way.  Sometimes I succeed.  Sometimes I embarrass myself.  Truth be told, there's not gaming device Sony has made that I haven't owned and enjoyed.  Move is a good piece of hardware and I respect that.  I'll own one soon.  Probably before the middle of April.

I'll be checking out Echochrome 2, too.  I heard a lot of good things about it.
