Well the title kinda opens the thread

I finally got my router up and running again today (it falls asleep sometimes) and downloaded the new 2.10 update...

This update is completly usless to me anyway because its features are...
 Blu ray player 1.1 : This is helpful...seeing my blu ray movies libary consists of...zero movies
 Voice changer: I dont have a headset
 Bitmapping 3: I dont even know what this is...I changed it and nothing happens, so meh

So I downloaded this non helpful update and now i'm rather annoyed because all it seems to have done is slowed down the ps3...XMB LAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!one

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

mine is working fine - did you deactivate the message thingie ? that one slowed my xmb down a bit after the last update , but after deactivating it everything was fine

mine works fine. this update is great for piraters.

I hope mine doesn't slow down, I was planning on downloading it today before my friend comes over for 5 hours of Warhawk!!

No problem for me, but i love the new DivX thing :)

So far don't see anything. Tried divx and bunch of my avi's didnt work. those that did, I was really afraid for my PS3 cuz it was making these very loud fan and disc spinning sound so I stopped it. I played folklore yesterday again and for weird reason, it made me install something new on before I can play??? Weird.

What version of the PS3 do you have? With the last update (2.0) more than a few 60gb owners were complaining of problems, while most 40/80 gb owners seemed fine.

Also, are you using custom themes? It might be a good idea to try and reset the theme, even if you are using the default XMB.
