Do they have a dispencary system where your from, meaning you can go to a store and pick up bud and chose from a bunch of different strains?

Yes there are a few dispensaries in Ontario. I found (online) that there are dispensaries in Toronto, London, Kitchener and I think Hamilton. Not sure how it differs from the United States. 

It differs by state drastically here. In Colorado's biggest cities Denver and metro area, Colorado Springs, and Boulder they have up to 20 to 40 dispenseries in each city. I swear every major street in my town has a dispensary. It is so strange considering less than two years ago there were probably 10 in the whole state.

I can get an ounce (28 grams) for $275-325 depending on time of year and supply etc. This is for the medical grade chronic.

a quarter (7  grams) is usually $100-125

an eigth (3.5 grams) is usually $60

grams range from $15-20

Prices seemed to go up after medical marijuana got bigger here. It is coming down again though.

I have been smoking since I was 18 or 19 (26 now) pretty much straight through although there were 2 seperate 6 month periods were I had to quit for getting trouble with the law. I now have a medical permit to smoke. I have held the same job for 10 years now and will buy the business I work at (a restaurant). I started paying bills at home the mopnth I got a job and have always pulled wieght were ever i live.

I smoke a gram a day ( I used to buy a half ounce every two weeks) so an ounce a month or $300 a month, or $3,600 a year. I now grow my own at a initial investment of $500 for equiptement, and about $15-30 a month more in electricity. I have been smoking a gram a day for atleast 5 years, and have not had to increase the amount I smoke at all. I still get the same high I used to. When ever I go to the doctor they always say I am fit as a horse. I do not get sick often (maybe twice a year if that) In ten years of work I have only called in sick 3 times and 1 was a lie. I am open to answer any other questions you guys may have.

And to those who feel it and alcohol and tobacco should be banned how do you feel about all the other drugs people take all the time. Caffine? Pain Relievers? Anti deppressants? And any thought of freedom of choice, I mean comeon now are we all going to make sex illegal unless married too? I mean it would help with healthcare costs and unwanted babies and stds so why not just take all that choice away. How about the governemnt should decide what we eat so we do not get obese (the most expensive cost to healthcare isn't it?). I mean why should we decide what we do to our bodies?

Might be long process however it would probably be safer (since you would be a medical marijuana patient) and cheaper (usually cheaper for people that can go and buy from distributor rather than drug dealer) for you in the long run if you plan to smoke every once in awhile.  I haven't heard of your type of medical condition (I'll look it up in a sec).  However, if that medical condition causes pain etc then perhaps marijuana would be able to help you.  Marijuana can help relieve soreness and act as a pain relief. 

Edit:  Just looked into your medical condition and you would be perhaps a perfect candidate for medical marijuana (Ulcerative colitis is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the large intestine (colon) and rectum).  Marijuana would ease your abominal pain, prevent weight loss, and possibly help digestion.  You should also look into eating foods that are very helpful for your stomach/digestive tract.  Such as my favorite food yogurt!  Eating a lot of yogurt and other digestive friendly foods will only help your condition.

On the point of finding weed illegally.  I would suggest to just ask friends you know that use it.  If they are your true friends then they shouldn't rip you off.  Also, you don't have to worry about them being a possible undercover agent (however it would be stupid for police to try and go after users that just buy small amounts; they usually go after dealers and try to work their way up (although, they might bust users and try to get them to narc out their dealer)).  So basically stick to close friends when asking about it.

Well you are in Canada.  I went to Vancouver once after taking an Alaskan cruise and I was able to get about 2.5 grams from a dealer (was very good bud also) for $20 US about 4 years ago.  While times have change it is still cheaper in Canada compared to USA.  It is pretty damn overpriced in USA even if you know a good connect.  Usually it is 10-20 at the least in most parts of USA.  It is very hard to get it to the 10 dollar range unless you are buying larger quantities.  This is another reason why it should be legal.  The government is losing out in a lot of tax money that is just going to drug dealers' profits.  They could have it legal with a high tax rate and still probably have it in the 10-15 a gram range.  Yet, USA would rather spend vast money trying to enforce this outdated, ineffective, and propaganda law.
