I smoked for about 15 yrs straight. The potency here in Trinidad however is pretty weak compared to what ya'll have so I can't boast about it.

That part of my life is done and dusted now and I've pretty much stopped, save for a random 'tap' here and there. No harm in that at all.

of course it depends what your history is and if you are seen to be dealing,but the police shoudl be worrying about worse things than whether we are having a smoke or not,i just don't get it,busting down peoples dorrs in raids for weed and pollen is aabout as pointless as it gets if you ask me

although i never got fined when i was younger and living in london the police would just take what you have and move you along like a naughty little boy,it was very annoying when you had just scored some northern lights or something,very annoying,i used to live in north london sometimes you'd jsut be unlucky if the coppers fancied a smoke and thought you might have some,they were usually right >_>

i'm not a big smoker anymore but i do like a joint and glass of red or a nice beer and a movie or whatever,everytrhing in moderation these days

The poll is still looking pretty good in favor of marijuana with 39 votes for and only 12 votes against. I would really like to hear the reasoning for the people that voted no. I suppose I could go back through this thread and reread a few of the posts that were anti-marijuana although I've probably heard all the bullshit reasons before... I believe the other side has piss poor argument for debate and I am surprised that it has taken so damn long to make progress for the safest drug on the planet. I believe we have multiple forces working against us including the paper, cotton, lumber, prison, and many more industries. To have marijuana illegal only benefits them and once made legal hemp and marijuana would change these industries forever.

Now that I think of it I probably don't want a "debate" consider it would just be two heads butting against each other (I suppose that is what happens in most debates).  It is almost like me having a discussion about Christianity with a preacher (neither side is going to come out on top).  The only thing our side can do is to keep pointing at the countless studies of the benefits of marijuana while enlightening the haters that they were lied to about most things regarding marijuana.  Most people would rather not change their mind even if they know they are wrong.  They are too stubborn to admit that they were fooled by propaganda and lies.  Going back to religion for one second.  I believe if we can convince the Christians that this is a God plant and not the devil's weed then we can get marijuana legal.  Pretty fucking sad that it would probably take that to make my dream happen.  Waiting for idiots to realize they are wrong will mean that I will be waiting a long time.

That is the main reason I stopped  posting much in political, religous and even most game threads. People have very strong convictions and do not change their beliefs easily. Still with enough effort people can change. But in many cases it is pointless so that is why I mostly post in sport thread nowa days.

Just sitting back about to load a chillum up wondering why the fuck in this day and age we have such terrible laws against the safest drug on the planet. I know various industries want to keep it illegal (cotton, lumber, private prisons, etc..) but you would think that with all the misinformation and lies debunked that it would be legal by now. Funny that everyone likes to prop up the USA as the best when it is obviously not (just consider our terrible political and judicial system).
