Forums - Gaming - Why doesn't UbiSoft take Rayman more seriously?

With the re-realease of Rayman 2 on 3DS as Rayman 3D. I decided to look into Rayman abit. Unfortunetly Rayman Arena, Hoodlum Havoc and Rayman 2 DC aren't aren't tracked by VGChartz so i don't know how much they sold. However Rayman on PlayStation sold over 3-million units during the height of the Platformer generation.

I'm not sure how well Rayman 2 and 3 (Hoodlum Havoc) sold but surely they were bad enough to justify burrying the franchise. Last E3 I got exited I saw Rayman Origins revealed but it is not a true sequel to Hoodlum Havok its not even a full feature disk based game. it is being released as a downloadable title.

So I'm wondering when will UbiSoft bring us Rayman 4? Is the franchise useless or should UbiSoft be doing more to establish it. I only played Hoodlum Havoc's demo at stores and never played Rayman 2. However since UbiSoft keeps releasing Rayman 2 (N64/DC/DS/3DS) it must be selling enough

UbiSoft started Raving Rabbids as Rayman titles, however they have since dropped Rayman from the newer games, Raving Rabbids is now an independant franchise. UbiSoft does not seem to be all that interested in releasing a Rayman 4.

What do you think should UbiSoft take Rayman more seriously?

Ubisoft abandoned the poor fella.

Maybe Nintendo will offer him a nice, loving family. :)
